Position Overview The Senior Middleware Developer is responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and supporting enterprise integration solutions across cloud and on-premise applications. This individual will serve as a technical leader for integration architecture, API development, middleware governance, and enterprise connectivity while ensuring secure, reliable, and scalable integration services. The ideal candidate possesses extensive experience with Boomi, REST APIs, EDI, SOA, and enterprise application integrations, along with a strong understanding of supply chain, finance, manufacturing, and human resources business processes. Key Responsibilities Enterprise Integration Development • Design, develop, and support enterprise integrations using the Boomi AtomSphere platform., • Gather business and technical requirements from stakeholders and translate them into scalable integration solutions., • Develop reusable integration components and enterprise integration standards., • Design and implement integrations utilizing:, • REST APIs, • SOAP Web Services, • XML, • JSON, • Flat Files, • EDI transactions, • SQL databases, • Messaging technologies, • Build secure, scalable, and maintainable integrations between cloud and on-premise applications. Enterprise Application Integration Develop and support integrations with enterprise business systems including: • ERP platforms, • Human Capital Management (HCM), • Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), • Transportation and Logistics Systems, • Customer Relationship Management (CRM), • Financial Applications, • Business Intelligence platforms, • Cloud applications, • Third-party vendor solutions Experience integrating with platforms such as JD Edwards, UKG, SAP SuccessFactors, Microsoft Dynamics 365, AWS services, or similar enterprise applications is highly desirable. API & Middleware Architecture • Design enterprise API strategies and reusable services., • Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and web services., • Implement Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) best practices., • Improve integration performance, monitoring, error handling, and scalability., • Support middleware governance and integration lifecycle management., • Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend modernization opportunities. Production Support • Provide advanced support for enterprise integration environments., • Troubleshoot integration failures, API issues, data mapping problems, and middleware performance., • Support critical business integrations involving:, • Orders, • Invoices, • Inventory, • Financial transactions, • Human Resources, • Supply Chain, • Manufacturing, • Participate in production support and on-call rotations as needed., • Maintain documentation for integrations, support procedures, and operational processes. Security & Data Governance • Implement secure integration standards and best practices., • Ensure data encryption and secure data transmission., • Maintain integration security policies and access controls., • Partner with Information Security teams on governance and compliance initiatives., • Support disaster recovery and business continuity planning. Project Delivery • Participate in enterprise integration projects from design through implementation., • Develop testing strategies, test cases, and validation procedures., • Support system upgrades, application implementations, and cloud migration initiatives., • Collaborate with project managers, architects, developers, and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality integration solutions. Required Qualifications • 8–10+ years of enterprise middleware or integration development experience., • 5+ years of hands-on experience with Boomi AtomSphere or a comparable enterprise integration platform., • Strong experience designing and developing enterprise integration solutions., • Extensive experience with:, • REST APIs, • SOAP Web Services, • XML, • JSON, • EDI, • SQL, • ETL processes, • Experience integrating cloud and on-premise enterprise applications., • Strong understanding of Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) and enterprise integration patterns., • Experience with application integration, middleware governance, and API management., • Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills., • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work directly with business and technical stakeholders. Preferred Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related field preferred., • Boomi Professional or Developer Certification preferred., • Experience integrating JD Edwards EnterpriseOne., • Experience integrating HCM, ERP, WMS, CRM, and Business Intelligence platforms., • Experience with:, • Microsoft Dynamics 365, • SAP SuccessFactors, • UKG, • AWS services, • Redshift, • Java, JavaScript, or Groovy development experience., • Experience with messaging technologies including JMS, MQSeries, ActiveMQ, or Oracle AQ., • Knowledge of Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Distribution, or Logistics business processes., • Understanding of AI-enabled integration and automation technologies., • Familiarity with ITIL, SDLC, and Agile development methodologies.
