Job Description Join our leadership team as a Director at Deep Roots School! We are seeking a leader who is committed to Christian values, Strong Leadership, a Teachable Spirit, and a Willingness to Grow into this role! We are a Montessori-inspired nature-based school that spends 2-3 hours outside in our outdoor classroom experiencing all seasons together. Although we are a small community of 30 students (preschool-3rd grade) and 5 dedicated staff, we are a growing school community. The size of our school allows us to build meaningful relationships with each child, as well as provide individualized attention to each of our students. Our school has a true family feel among the staff, students and families. We are intentional about maintaining a supportive, collaborative, and peaceful work environment for both staff and students. Key Responsibilities: • Provide organizational leadership aligned with our mission and values, • Oversee daily school operations, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for the children, • Support and mentor teachers, fostering a collaborative and positive team culture as well as organize monthly staff meetings to ensure teachers receive ongoing support and professional development, • Work collaboratively with head teacher to guide program development with an emphasis on the Montessori method, outdoor learning, play and exploration, • Manage family communications through emails, social media posts, Remind app, daily contact., • Build strong relationships with families, maintaining a warm, community-centered atmosphere, • Oversee ongoing enrollment – giving school tours to interested families, maintaining a waitlist, and planning for intentional growth, • Manage administrative responsibilities including scheduling substitutes, files and compliance to the state standards Qualifications: • Master’s Degree in any field related to children or business or a Bachelor’s Degree and one year of managerial or supervisory experience is required to meet state requirements, • Educational background or equivalent experience in an educational field is preferred but not required, • Personal Christian faith and alignment with the school’s beliefs and mission is preferred, • Love for the outdoors and nature-based learning, • Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills, • Ability and desire to support and encourage staff, students, and families, • Commitment to fostering a close-knit, family-like school culture, • While director experience is preferred, we value strong leadership, a teachable spirit, and a willingness to grow into this role What We Offer: • A supportive community and a collaborative and family-oriented work environment, • Opportunity to shape and help grow our school, • Competitive salary, • Paid time off, holidays, and school breaks, • Tuition discounts for staff children (if applicable), • Meaningful impact on children’s developmentCompany DescriptionDeep Roots School is a place of life, growth, and beauty.
