Job DescriptionJob Title: RME - Mech & Robotics Technician Job Description As a Maintenance Technician II, you will utilize your skills to support the Operations Maintenance team in repairing and maintaining material handling equipment and pneumatic systems throughout the building. You will have the opportunity to install, maintain, and repair automated packaging and distribution equipment. Responsibilities • Install, inspect, repair, and maintain material handling equipment, such as conveyors., • Complete preventative maintenance routines, documentation, and procedures., • Perform battery changes and preventive maintenance on batteries., • Enter downtime data in daily logs and complete preventative maintenance sheets., • Manage work orders within a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)., • Troubleshoot and identify problems with equipment., • Track and store the department's inventory, including spare parts.Essential Skills, • Industrial maintenance, equipment maintenance, and robotics experience., • Experience with automated conveyor systems., • Ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems., • Experience with preventative maintenance, hydraulics, pneumatics, and schematics., • Knowledge of motors.Additional Skills & Qualifications, • At least 2+ years of experience conducting quality predictive and preventative maintenance procedures., • 2+ years of experience in the repair of material handling equipment or automated conveyor systems and controls., • 2+ years of blueprint and electrical schematic reading., • 2+ years of knowledge with electrical and electronic principles., • 1+ year of experience in troubleshooting and diagnostics of material handling equipment systems., • 1+ years of Microsoft Office products and applications experience., • High school diploma or equivalent., • Preferred experience in distribution, logistics, manufacturing, and industrial industries., • Experience with a CMMS and continuous improvement mindset., • Willingness to learn and grow within the RME field., • Experience with MHE safety standards according to OEM and safety standards., • Associate's or higher degree from a vocational school or college focused on mechanical or electrical fields., • 2+ years of apprenticeship or equivalent experience in mechanical or electrical fields., • 2+ years of experience working with PLC-based control systems., • Experience with robotic operation and maintenance.Why Work Here? Work Environment The work environment is a large distribution facility with high-speed automation equipment, mostly featuring robotic components. Candidates should be comfortable with their performance being tracked by data and numbers. The role requires walking approximately 10,000 steps per day and lifting up to 49 pounds. Candidates must be open to working any 10-hour shift. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tempe, AZ. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $32.50 - $32.50/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
