American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN Labor and Delivery for a travel nursing job in Glendale, California. Job Description & Requirements • Specialty: Labor and Delivery, • Discipline: RN, • Start Date: 11/03/2025, • Duration: 13 weeks, • 36 hours per week, • Shift: 12 hours, nights, • Position is in an acute care hospital setting on the Labor & Delivery and Postpartum unit, • Unit includes 10 L&D beds, 2 ORs in L&D, 2 triage beds, and 18 postpartum beds, • Patient population includes antepartum, postpartum, full-term and high-risk pregnancies, with deliveries down to 23 weeks gestation, • Staff supports about 130 births per month, • Patient ratios: 1:1 close to delivery, 1:2 other times, and 1:4 couplets on postpartum, • C-section scrub, recovery, and circulating experience required, • 12-hour night shifts with every other weekend required, • Float to postpartum or mother-baby as needed, L&D to postpartum only, • No on-call responsibilities, • Cerner EMR is used, experience preferred, • Obix fetal monitoring system is used, • Care for patients throughout labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum period, including some high-risk and antepartum cases, • Must be able to manage fetal monitoring and support surgical births, • Charge nurse shared between L&D and postpartum units, • 12-hour shift schedule with expectation to work one major and one minor holiday during assignment, • Floor-specific orientation provided, • Scrubs are provided for staff, • First to float as needed within scope, • RT and pharmacy available 24/7, • Returning candidates must not have been employed by CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity facilities within the previous year\n \n Requirements\n, • Active California RN license required at time of consideration, • Minimum 2 years of prior L&D experience required, • Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and Advanced Fetal Monitoring (AWHONN AFM or equivalent), • C-section scrub, recovery, and circulating skills required, • Recent L&D travel experience preferred, • Two professional references: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, • Copy of valid driver's license required for consideration\n Benefits\n, • High Pay and Bonuses, • Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options, • 401(k) Plan, • Weekly Payroll Deposit, • Free Online CEUs, • Generous Housing Allowance, • Travel and Licensure Reimbursements, • Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy With thousands of travel nursing and allied jobs nationwide, our attentive and approachable recruiters find positions that align perfectly with your career aspirations and personal requirements.
