Ideal for experienced Cardiac Cath Lab Techs, Cath Lab Technologists, and Cardiovascular Technologists seeking Illinois cardiac cath lab jobs or travel healthcare assignments.\n \n\nJob Details\n\n • Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,400 – $2,580\n, • Contract Length: 13 weeks (option to extend up to 26 weeks)\n, • Shift: 4x12-hour days (06:30 – 19:00); open to 3x12s as well\n, • Hours per Week: 36\n, • Start Date: April 20, 2026\n, • On-call: Required, rotating with staff and agency (dedicated call team)\n, • Weekend Coverage: Will work 2–3 weekends per contract\n, • Charting / EMR: Cerner (experience preferred)\n, • Scrub Color: Provided\n, • Parking: Permit required, no cost\n, • Facility: Magnet-designated, Level I trauma center – high-acuity acute care and interventional cardiology services\n\n\nJob Requirements / Qualifications\n\n, • Minimum 1 year of recent experience in a Diagnostic or Interventional Cardiac Cath Lab (adult population)\n, • Active Illinois license required at submission\n, • Certifications required: ARRT or RCIS; ACLS; BLS (AHA or Red Cross only)\n, • Experience with Cerner charting system strongly preferred\n, • Ability to interpret dysrhythmias and recognize life-threatening arrhythmias\n, • Proficiency in sterile technique, infection control, and isolation precautions\n, • Competency in age-specific care for middle and older adults\n, • Ability to complete compliance modules and orientation on time\n\n\nResponsibilities\n\n, • Perform a variety of cardiac cath lab procedures including diagnostic catheterizations (left/right heart cath), PCI, PTCA, stent placement, IABP placement/removal, cardiac implant closure device procedures, and rotablator atherectomy\n, • Prepare and set up interventional equipment, maintain sterile field, and assist the interventional cardiology team during procedures\n, • Monitor, interpret, and respond to dysrhythmias and life-threatening arrhythmias during procedures\n, • Follow infection control protocols and isolation precautions to ensure patient and staff safety\n, • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams—including physicians, nurses, and techs—to deliver high-quality cardiovascular patient care\n Planet Healthcare Job ID #469904.
