Job Description Job Title: Student Maintenance Assistant Reports To: Director of Operations and Administration Location: The Heights at Montclair State University Compensation: $18.00 per hour and work up to up to 29 hours per week. FLSA Status: Student Non-Exempt Part-Time Position Positions: 4 Company Information: Capstone On-Campus Management (COCM), with headquarters in Birmingham, Alabama, is a group of student housing professionals focused exclusively on the management of housing communities owned by non-profits and/or highly affiliated with a university. Summary: The Student Maintenance Assistant is responsible for assisting with the preventative maintenance tasks and summer projects in the community and daily office tasks in the Capstone Office. The Student Maintenance Assistant ensures the office operates smoothly by managing varied responsibilities that keep the office running. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Include: • Follow office workflow procedures to ensure maximum efficiency., • Maintain files and records with effective filing systems., • Support the team with various administrative tasks (redirecting calls, disseminating correspondence, scheduling meetings etc.), • Greet and assist visitors when they arrive at the office., • General cleaning of the grounds., • Replacing air filters., • Replacing light bulbs., • Distributing items to apartments., • Painting, spackling, and custodial work. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
