For over 95 summers CSL has given campers in grades 3-12 a special place to recharge, unplug, and connect to nature and friends. CSL welcomes all campers into a safe, compassionate community where each child is encouraged to become their best self. The Waterfront Director is a key member of the Camp Seneca Lake (CSL) Leadership Team each summer. Overseeing all programming, operations, and safety at the CSL Waterfront, the Waterfront Director plays a pivotal role in the delivery of one of CSL’s signature program areas. The Waterfront Director is responsible for leading their staff in implementing a curriculum that includes both daily activity periods and more in-depth “Hobby” experiences at CSL. Overview: The Counseling and Runaway and Homeless Youth (RHY) Department provides a continuum of essential services to the most vulnerable youth in our community, including two crisis nurseries, an emergency shelter, permanent and transitional housing, a food and clothing pantry, street outreach, and support for minor victims of commercial sexual exploitation. The Transitional Living Program Manager oversees the administrative responsibilities and the program development of two of The Center's transitional living programs (TLP) for homeless young adults ages 16-24: an apartment-based independent living program (Devonshire) and a group-living environment (Arnett House), as well as non-residential case management services. The goal of TLP is to provide care and support to youth in a safe and respectful environment, to work with them to build their independent skills, and address the issues that led to their homelessness so they can ultimately secure and maintain a stable living environment. This position supervises and supports program staff (Assistant Manager, Case Managers, Life Skills Specialists, and Relief Staff) with professional development, including competency in trauma-informed interventions that foster mutually respectful relationships with residents in the program.
