American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN OR - Operating Room for a travel nursing job in Springfield, Missouri. Job Description & Requirements • Specialty: OR - Operating Room, • Discipline: RN, • Start Date: 03/30/2026, • Duration: 13 weeks, • 40 hours per week, • Shift: 10 hours, days, • Employment Type: Travel Assignment Overview • Shift: Days, 4x10hrs, • Hours: 40 hrs/wk, • Start Date: Mar 30, 2026, • Length: 13 weeks, • Main OR setting within a Level 1 Trauma & Burn Center and Level 2 Stroke Center, • OR suite includes 22 main beds, 8 ASC beds, and 10 ortho beds, • Patient population ranges from outpatient to critical care inpatient, all age groups, • 1:1 patient ratio, • Equipment includes various surgical instruments and the da Vinci robotic surgical system, • EMR: Epic, • Evening shift, 4x10 schedule, 10:30 AM–9:00 PM, • 13-week contract, • On-call required on any scheduled day, averaging 5 or fewer instances per 8 weeks, • Weekend hours as required by the facility, • Floating required as needed by the facilityRequirements, • Active MO RN license or compact RN license eligible for Missouri endorsement required at time of consideration, • Valid U.S. Social Security Number required; Canadian SINs are not accepted, • Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required, • Minimum 2 years of Level 1 or 2 trauma experience required; teaching hospital experience may be considered, • Experience as both a scrub and OR circulator required, • No employment gaps of 90+ days within the past 12 monthsAdditional Information, • Performs direct patient care including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation for all age groups, • Coordinates patient care activities with ancillary departments to optimize patient outcomes and comfort, • Highly motivated, self-starting personality is a strong fit for this team, • Scrubs are provided by the facility; jeans and unprofessional attire are not permitted, • Flu vaccination or a Mercy-approved exemption is required from November 1 through April 1; declinations are not accepted, • Orientation takes place on day shift; candidates must be available for the full orientation week, • Up to 5 days of requested time off (RTO) is allowed but must be made up within the assignment, • Local candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are eligible but subject to a reduced bill rate With thousands of travel nursing and allied jobs nationwide, our attentive and approachable recruiters find positions that align perfectly with your career aspirations and personal requirements.
