American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN PreOp / PACU - Post Anesthesia Care for a travel nursing job in Seattle, Washington. Job Description & Requirements • Specialty: PreOp / PACU - Post Anesthesia Care, • Discipline: RN, • Start Date: 04/06/2026, • Duration: 13 weeks, • 40 hours per week, • Shift: 10 hours, days, • Employment Type: Travel Assignment Overview • Shift: Days, 4x10hrs, • Hours: 40 hrs/wk, • Start Date: Apr 6, 2026, • Length: 13 weeks, • Inpatient and outpatient Pre-Op setting with Phase II Recovery through patient discharge, • Surgical cases include general surgery (lap chole, appendectomy, bowel resection, BKA/AKA), vascular, plastics, mandibular, ophthalmology, ENT, GYN, dental, thoracic (no open hearts), podiatry, and ortho, • Occasional Pre-Op coverage for cath lab (vascular procedures only) and endoscopy, • Pediatric patients represent approximately 3–4% of the caseload; travelers are only assigned to peds cases if they have pediatric experience, • Equipment used includes cardiac monitoring, CPAP/BiPAP, and breathing treatment devices, • Epic EMR required, • Day shift, 4x10-hour shifts (11:30–22:00), • Floating between all facilities within the state is required; refusal to float may result in assignment terminationRequirements, • Active WA RN license or valid Compact RN license required, • BLS certification required; ACLS preferred, • Minimum 1 year of Pre-Op/Phase II Recovery nursing experience required, • Required surgical case experience: ENT, general, GYN, ophthalmology, ortho, ortho/spine, ortho/total joints, and urology, • Preferred surgical case experience: cardiac, plastics, podiatry, robotics, thoracic, and transplant, • Required skills: dysrhythmia recognition and management, narcotic/opioid analgesic administration, reversal agent administration, pre/post-op assessment, pre-op education and medications, and discharge instruction, • Experience in ambulatory/outpatient, inpatient, and Phase II Recovery settings required, • Epic EMR experience required, • Minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting required for consideration, • SSN and DOB required for considerationAdditional Information, • First-time travelers will not be considered for this position, • Former permanent staff of any Providence Swedish facility must have been separated for at least 3 months and must reside more than 50 miles from the facility before being eligible to return as a traveler, • Former permanent staff of non-Swedish Providence facilities are eligible after a 3-month separation, • Scrubs are provided, • Minimal RTO is expected; any requested time off must be disclosed at the time of submission, as post-offer RTO requests may be denied With thousands of travel nursing and allied jobs nationwide, our attentive and approachable recruiters find positions that align perfectly with your career aspirations and personal requirements.
