American Traveler is seeking a travel Mammography Technologist for a travel job in Cincinnati, Ohio. Job Description & Requirements • Specialty: Mammography Technologist, • Discipline: Allied Health Professional, • Start Date: 05/04/2026, • Duration: 13 weeks, • 40 hours per week, • Shift: 8 hours, days, • Employment Type: Travel Assignment Overview • Shift: Days, 5x8hrs, • Hours: 40 hrs/wk, • Start Date: May 4, 2026, • Length: 13 weeks, • Women's imaging center and mobile mammography van setting, • Perform screening and diagnostic mammograms on 40–50 patients per day, • Equipment includes 2 Hologic 3D units, 1 GE Pristina 3D unit, and a Hologic 3D unit on the mobile van, • Stereotactic biopsy experience preferred, • Knowledge of quality control (QC) procedures required, • 8-hour day shifts rotating between 6:30 AM–3:00 PM, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM, and 7:30 AM–4:00 PM, • Mobile van shifts vary and may run 9–10 hours (approximately 6:45 AM–4:00 PM), • Rotation to mobile van units expected once or twice per week, • No on-call required, • Local candidates are acceptedRequirements, • ARRT certification in Radiography (R) and Mammography (M) required, • Ohio Department of Health (ODH) state license required if applicable, • Current BLS and ACLS required, • Minimum 1 year of experience as a registered mammography technologist, • Ability to work independently performing screening and diagnostic mammography, • Associate's degree from an ARRT-accredited program preferred, • Proof of address and 1 supervisory reference required for consideration, • Candidate's full SSN and DOB required for considerationAdditional Information, • Perform all breast imaging procedures including screening, diagnostic, invasive, and DEXA scans per established protocols for physician interpretation, • Assist radiologists with invasive breast procedures, ensuring aseptic technique and proper patient consent, • Select and operate breast imaging equipment and apply appropriate radiographic exposure techniques to produce quality diagnostic images, • Apply radiation protection principles to minimize exposure to patients, self, and others, • Provide patient education and discharge instructions, • Participate in department quality assessments and improvement plans, • Pass/fail EKG test administered on the first day with 2 attempts allowed; study guides will be provided, • Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel pay rates With thousands of travel nursing and allied jobs nationwide, our attentive and approachable recruiters find positions that align perfectly with your career aspirations and personal requirements.
