ABOUT THE JOB We are seeking a detail-oriented and creative Assistant Designer to support our design and product development team in bringing seasonal concepts to life. In this role, you will collaborate closely with design, product development, and production teams to develop catalogs, prepare artwork and technical assets, and help manage the flow of design information throughout the product lifecycle. The ideal candidate has a strong eye for design, solid organizational skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining brand consistency and meeting deadlines. Job Title Assistant Designer Job Purpose The Assistant Designer plays a key supporting role in the creative and product development process by assisting in the development and execution of seasonal design initiatives. This role works closely with the Design, Product Development, and Production teams to help produce seasonal catalogs, prepare technical and artwork assets, and support communication with vendors. The Assistant Designer contributes to the overall visual direction of the brand while ensuring design work aligns with brand standards, timelines, and production requirements. This role demands a keen eye for detail, a strong sense of creativity, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Duties and Responsibilities • Assist in the design and layout of seasonal catalogs for mainline and wholesale assortments., • Assist with graphic placement guides for apparel and accessories across multiple product categories., • Coordinate with the marketing and e-commerce teams to provide accurate artwork files, product visuals, and design assets., • Help organize and archive past seasonal artwork, graphics, and production files for future reference., • Help track design updates, revisions, and approvals across multiple seasonal projects., • Utilize the PLM system to input, update, and manage product information, including tech packs, artwork files, colorways, and style details throughout the development process., • Create and update flat sketches, including stitch and seaming details, for catalogs and technical packs., • Review color strike-offs and help communicate feedback to vendors., • Scale graphics for multiple size ranges, including Toddler, Youth, and Adult., • Maintain organized and consistent communication with vendors regarding graphics, artwork updates, packaging, and design specifications., • Help build and organize seasonal color palettes and product outlines., • Assist in custom project graphic development as needed, • Work within Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and After Effects, to execute and support design deliverables. Requirements: • Bachelor’s Degree in related field, • 2-3 years apparel design experience, • Excellent verbal and written communication skills., • Excellent organizational and time management skills., • Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.), • Ability to communicate effectively in English, • Full-Time, exempt., • Normal working hours are from 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday; must be flexible to work evenings and occasional weekends., • Location: Plainview, NY ABOUT US GOAT USA, founded on Long Island in 2016, is a dynamic athletic lifestyle fashion brand known for delivering high-quality products and a customer-first experience.
