Job Description ESP Associates is seeking a Marketing Specialist to join our Marketing & Visioning team. This position offers a remote option in the U.S., with opportunities for in-person collaboration, as needed. This role is ideal for a graphic designer with 2-4 years of professional experience who excels in layout-heavy, template-driven design and is comfortable working across both internal marketing initiatives and periodic client-facing deliverables. While this position may support client-related materials such as visioning documents, branding support, or presentation graphics, this work is project-based and cyclical, not continuous or billable-style production. The primary focus of this role is strengthening the internal marketing infrastructure that supports ESP and our Team of Companies: through templates, systems, and high-quality design execution used firmwide. Occasional travel to ESP offices and project locations may be required to support collaboration and team needs. What You’ll Do – Key Responsibilities: Graphic Design, Layout & Template Development • Design and maintain high-quality, reusable templates for firmwide use, including:, • Proposal and qualification templates, • Microsoft Word and PowerPoint templates, • Project sheets, case studies, and branded reports, • Internal marketing tools and presentation frameworks, • Build and manage structured documents in Adobe InDesign, with strong technical proficiency in:, • Paragraph, character, and object styles, • Parent pages, • Style-drive template systems built from scratch, • Work confidently within existing templates and continuously refine them to improve clarity, efficiency, and consistency, • Apply strong design judgement, • Execute layout-heavy design work with strong attention to typography, hierarchy, spacing, and brand standards, • Support the ESP Marketing Department with graphic design and layout needs serving all business units and subsidiary firms, • Collaborate with marketing leadership and teammates to translate messaging into clear, professional visual layouts, • Support client-facing deliverables (e.g., visioning materials, branded presentations, wayfinding or community engagement graphics, report design, etc.) as needed Requirements: • Associate’s degree in graphic design, journalism, or a related field; bachelor’s degree preferred, • 2-4 years of professional graphic design experience, • A strong design portfolio sample showcasing:, • Layout-driven, Business-to-Business (B2B), or editorial-style design work, • Template-based systems and structured documents, • Advanced working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, with emphasis on:, • InDesign, • Illustrator, • PhotoShop, • Acrobat, • Lightroom (minor photo editing), • CC Libraries, • Strong attention to detail, file organization, and production accuracy, • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a collaborative team environment, • Experience designing and managing templates in:, • Microsoft Word, • Microsoft PowerPoint, • Ability to translate brand systems effectively into Microsoft environments to templates used by non-designers, • Experience working in template-driven, production-heavy workflows, • Background in B2B environments, such as:, • Professional services firms, • In-house corporate marketing teams, • Editorial, magazine, journal, or publication design, • Annual reports, long-form documents, or proposal-based work, • Experience in the AEC industry (architecture, engineering, construction, planning) is a preferred plus, but not required, • Light writing or copy awareness is a strong plus, but career-based writing skills are not required, • You enjoy layout, structure, and systems just as much as visual creativity, • You’re confident building and maintaining templates and understand the power of paragraph styles, parent pages, and reusable design frameworks, • You take pride in clean files, organized documents, and production accuracy, • You’re comfortable shifting between internal marketing priorities and periodic client-facing projects without expecting constant client production work, • You work well in a collaborative, centralized team that serves many business units and brands, • You can receive feedback, iterate quickly, and improve designs with adaptability Why This Role Matters The ESP Marketing Department supports every business unit, firm, and office across our Team of Companies.
