Job Description MAC Products (macproducts.net) is a leading manufacturer serving the electrical utility and transit industries. We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Control Inspector to ensure our products meet the highest quality and compliance standards. In this role, you will perform inspections, verify specifications, and support continuous improvement initiatives to maintain our reputation for excellence. Short Summary of Day-to-Day Responsibilities: • Perform electrical and electro-mechanical testing using multimeters, continuity testers, and dielectric test equipment., • Inspect wiring, terminations, labeling, electrical workmanship, and final assemblies per drawings and schematics., • Perform basic dimensional and mechanical inspections of machined, fabricated, and assembled components., • Conduct visual weld and braze inspections for workmanship (training provided; AWS CWI not required)., • Document inspection results accurately in electronic formats and support non-conforming material processing., • Work closely with production and engineering to identify defects early and support basic root-cause details. Must-Have Qualifications: • Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical schematics and wiring diagrams., • Ability to read mechanical engineering drawings for machined and fabricated parts., • Hands-on experience using electrical test equipment (e.g., multimeter, continuity tester, dielectric tester)., • Minimum 3 years of experience in manufacturing (inspection, electrical assembly, or testing roles)., • Strong attention to detail, critical thinking, and willingness to do both electrical and mechanical inspection work. Preferred Qualifications (Not Required but Nice to Have): • Experience performing visual weld or brazing inspections (workmanship-level; we train)., • Exposure to ISO 9001 or another Quality Management System., • Experience using calipers, micrometers, or other dimensional inspection tools., • Familiarity with electromechanical assemblies.Company DescriptionFrom humble beginnings more than 50 years ago, MAC has evolved into a field leader and highly recognized producer of high quality equipment and products for the transmission, distribution and control of electrical power.
