Job Description TITLE: Fleet Manager REPORTS TO: Director of Quality (Chief Inspector) OVERVIEW: At Global Crossing Airlines, the Fleet Manager plays a critical leadership role in ensuring the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of the aircraft fleet under 14 CFR Part 121. This position provides strategic and operational oversight of fleet performance, maintenance programs and regulatory compliance. The Fleet Manager is responsible for overseeing the engineering functions, coordinating with Flight Operations, Maintenance, and Training departments, and ensuring all aircraft meet FAA regulatory, safety, and reliability standards. This role requires strong leadership, deep technical knowledge of airline operations, and the ability to translate data into actionable decisions that support fleet readiness and growth. Job Responsibilities: • Provide day-to-day oversight of fleet operations to ensure aircraft readiness, reliability, and optimal utilization., • Deliver Consistent and Effective Aircraft Modifications and Repairs., • Manage Technical Standards to ensure consistency to Aircraft Manufacturers Type certificates, • Review, audit and compile the data to include life limited parts, airworthiness directives, service bulletins, operating history and shop visit documentation for accuracy, completeness, maintenance condition and build standard, • Coordinate with Maintenance Control, Engineering, and Flight Operations to minimize disruptions and manage operational constraints., • Ensure full compliance with 14 CFR Part 121, FAA-approved maintenance programs, and company General Maintenance Manual (GMM)., • Evaluate aircraft performance, utilization rates, and long-term reliability trends., • Act as a liaison with the FAA and support audits, inspections, and regulatory inquiries., • Ensure effective implementation of Safety Management System (SMS) principles across fleet activities., • Monitor fleet reliability, component performance, and maintenance trends., • Ensure accurate tracking of aircraft configuration, records, and airworthiness status., • Develop and manage fleet-related budgets, including maintenance, materials, and operational costs., • Analyze cost drivers related to maintenance, fuel efficiency, utilization, and reliability., • Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising safety or compliance., • Support financial planning for fleet growth, aircraft acquisition, and lease negotiations., • Promote effective Crew Resource Management (CRM) and cross-functional collaboration., • Lead and mentor fleet-related personnel and support teams., • Forecast fleet requirements to support operational growth, route planning, and capacity changes., • Support fleet replacement and expansion strategies., • Utilize data analytics, CAMP systems, and operational metrics to drive informed decision-making. SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS: • U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Resident (Green Card) required., • Bachelor’s degree in aviation management, Engineering, Business, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience., • 7+ years of progressive experience in airline operations, fleet management, engineering, or maintenance within a Part 121 or Part 135 environment., • Demonstrated knowledge of FAA regulations, including 14 CFR Part 121, maintenance programs, and airworthiness requirements., • Strong working knowledge of CAMP systems (e.g., CAMP Systems, Trax, AMOS, Ramco)., • Proven leadership experience managing cross-functional teams., • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret operational and maintenance data., • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills., • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced operational environment., • Willingness and ability to travel as required. Preferred • Experience managing Airbus A320 family aircraft., • Familiarity with ACMI operations, charter environments, and fleet utilization strategies., • Prior FAA interaction experience, including audits and regulatory reviews., • Experience with aircraft acquisition, induction, lease returns, or end-of-life planning., • Knowledge of reliability programs, maintenance planning, and cost-control strategies., • Advanced degree in Aviation, Engineering, or Business (MBA) preferred., • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and maintenance/operations reporting tools. Other Functions: • Serve as a key member of the Technical Operations leadership team., • Support AOG events, operational disruptions, and irregular operations., • Interface with OEMs, lessors, MROs, and vendors., • Participate in accident/incident investigations and corrective action development. This position is based in Miami, FL. The standard schedule is Monday through Friday. Work hours and shift assignments may vary, and the schedule is subject to change based on operational needs. Flexibility is required to support the demands of a dynamic aviation environment.
