Position Title: Intern, Office of the CEO Compensation: $25-30/hour Time Commitment: 20-25 hours/week, time during normal business hours required Internship Term: 16 weeks About Informuta Informuta is an infectious diseasae intelligence company whose mission is to make bacterial evolution predictable, enabling clinicians and health systems to prevent antibiotic resistance before it harms patients. Informuta combines proprietary AI/ML, predictive genomic biomarkers, and longitudinal clinical-genomic data to forecast resistance risk and help shift infectious disease care from reactive to predictive. We are founded on two core values: 1) Own the Outcome and 2) Win as One Team. We are relentlessly individually accountable while collectively responsible to our mission. About the Role We are looking for a highly capable, curious, and detail-oriented intern to join the Office of the CEO and work directly with Informuta's CEO on investor relations, fundraising operations, executive preparation, stakeholder management, and strategic follow-through. This is a high-trust, hands-on internship for someone who wants direct exposure to how a company is built and financed. You will work as right-hand to the CEO, and you'll get visibility into how the CEO thinks about fundraising, investor relationships, commercialization, hiring, leadership, strategy, and prioritization at an early-stage healthcare/biotech company. You will work closely with Informuta's Finance & Operations. This role includes some executive operations - such as business inbox triage, calendar coordination, meeting preparation, and follow-up - because those activities are central to keeping important relationships and decisions moving. It is not intended to be a personal assistant role or a catch-all administrative position. The strongest intern will increasingly anticipate what needs to happen next, produce strong first drafts, and create systems that make the work more organized and repeatable. In return, you will gain unusually close exposure to venture fundraising, investor relations, company strategy, executive decision-making, healthcare commercialization, and the day-to-day realities of building a venture-backed startup. Exceptional performance may create an opportunity to extend the internship or transition into a full-time Associate, Office of the CEO role. Responsibilities Investor Relations & Fundraising Operations • Maintain Informuta's investor CRM, including relationship history, stage, next action, follow-up dates, introductions, and key investor interests., • Research venture funds, strategic investors, family offices, angels, and other capital sources relevant to Informuta; prepare concise profiles covering investment thesis, stage, check size, relevant portfolio companies, individual partners, and likely fit., • Identify warm-introduction pathways and draft personalized introduction requests, cold outreach, and investor follow-up messages for CEO review., • Track investor questions, objections, pass reasons, and recurring themes so that patterns can be surfaced and incorporated into future fundraising strategy and materials., • Maintain a pipeline of investors to re-engage as specific company milestones are achieved and help coordinate milestone-triggered outreach. Conference Strategy & Stakeholder Scheduling • Research conference attendees and identify priority investors, health-system leaders, strategic partners, advisors, and other stakeholders the CEO should consider meeting., • Recommend meeting priorities based on company goals, existing relationships, strategic fit, and likely value of the interaction., • Coordinate approved outreach, warm introductions, scheduling, location logistics, and meeting calendars around conferences and external events., • Prepare short briefing notes for conference meetings and coordinate systematic follow-up after each event. CEO Inbox, Calendar & Executive Operations • Help triage the CEO's business inbox as trust develops by flagging time-sensitive or strategically important messages, routing requests to appropriate owners, drafting responses, and tracking important unanswered threads., • Coordinate business scheduling and calendar logistics, resolve conflicts, protect priority work blocks, and help consolidate meetings when a request can be handled through an existing forum., • Coordinate business travel and meeting logistics when needed to support investor, customer, partner, and conference activity., • Use good judgment about what requires CEO attention and what can be handled elsewhere rather than simply passing every incoming request upward. Diligence & Data Room Coordination • Maintain a diligence request tracker and help ensure investor requests are answered accurately and on time., • Identify stale, missing, or inconsistent investor-facing documents and coordinate updates with Finance & Operations or other internal owners., • Maintain an investor-facing data-room index and track what information has been shared with specific investors., • Use approved financial and corporate information from Finance & Operations; do not independently alter financial models, capitalization records, financing documents, or canonical financial information. Process Improvement • Build reusable templates and workflows for investor research, meeting preparation, follow-up, diligence, stakeholder tracking, and recurring updates., • Identify repetitive work that can be standardized, automated, or handled more efficiently., • Use AI and other productivity tools thoughtfully for research, drafting, synthesis, and workflow improvement while protecting confidentiality and verifying accuracy. Ideal Profile We care more about judgment, writing, organization, initiative, and learning velocity than about a specific major. The strongest candidate will be able to absorb complex information and reliably return with something clear, concise, accurate, organized, and useful. Required Skills & Experience • Exceptional written communication and demonstrated ability to draft clear, concise, professional emails, summaries, presentations, or other written work., • Strong analytical and synthesis skills; ability to review complex information and identify the few facts, decisions, or implications that matter most., • Excellent organization, follow-through, and attention to detail across names, numbers, dates, document versions, deadlines, and commitments., • Demonstrated ownership and initiative through academic, professional, entrepreneurial, research, leadership, or extracurricular experience., • Good judgment and discretion when handling confidential or sensitive information, including knowing when to verify, escalate, or ask rather than guess., • Comfort communicating professionally with senior stakeholders and working across multiple functions and disciplines., • Ability to operate effectively in ambiguity, manage competing priorities, and move work forward without every step being prescribed., • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including strong working ability in PowerPoint and Excel., • Consistent weekday availability across at least four business days per week and ability to commit 20-25 hours weekly for the internship term. Preferred Skills & Experience • Prior internship, project, or work experience in venture capital, startup fundraising, entrepreneurship, consulting, investment banking, investor relations, business development, market research, or startup operations., • Experience working directly with a founder, executive, research leader, or other senior decision-maker., • Exposure to healthcare, biotechnology, diagnostics, genomics, life sciences, AI/ML, or other technical industries., • Experience conducting company, investor, market, or competitive research and turning findings into executive-ready summaries., • Experience with CRM systems, pipeline tracking, diligence processes, cloud document management, or data-room organization., • Experience building polished executive presentations or other high-stakes external communications., • Comfort using AI tools such as ChatGPT or Claude for research, drafting, synthesis, and workflow acceleration while maintaining confidentiality and verifying outputs., • Interest in venture-backed company building and a desire to learn how scientific innovation is translated into a commercial healthcare company.
