Position Summary: The Manufacturing Engineer will plan and design product applications and machinery. The position is responsible for organizing highly complex activities for design, development, implementation, and maintenance of heat exchanger manufacturing processes. Supervisory Responsibilities: • None Duties and Responsibilities: • Apply continuous improvement methods such as lean manufacturing to enhance manufacturing quality, reliability, or cost-effectiveness, including determining root causes of failures using statistical methods and recommend changes in designs, tolerances, or processing methods., • Design, install, and troubleshoot manufacturing equipment., • Identify opportunities and implement changes to improve products or reduce costs using knowledge of fabrication processes, tooling and production equipment, assembly methods, quality control standards, or product design, materials and parts., • Design testing methods and test finished products or process capabilities to establish standards or validate process requirements., • Design layout of equipment or workspaces to achieve maximum efficiency., • Review product designs for manufacturability or completeness; including purchasing equipment, materials, or parts and preparing documentation for new manufacturing processes or engineering procedures., • Evaluate manufactured products according to specifications and quality standards, including troubleshooting new or existing product problems involving designs, materials, or processes, • Develop sustainable manufacturing technologies and analyze the financial impacts of sustainable manufacturing, • Provide technical expertise or support related to manufacturing., • Develop, document and implement standard work instructions for critical manufacturing operations.
