POSITION OVERVIEW KITCHEN MANAGER : At Green + The Grain, were passionate about serving fresh, bold flavors made with the highest standards of quality and care. We are seeking a Kitchen Manager who is detail oriented, quality driven, and committed to upholding food safety and brand consistency across every salad we serve. The Kitchen Manager oversees all back of house operations, ensuring that recipes are executed with precision, ingredients are handled with care, and safety protocols are always followed. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in culinary excellence, appreciates consistency, thrives in a fast paced environment, and leads with accountability and teamwork. As Kitchen Manager, youll work closely with the General Manager & leadership team to maintain operational standards, train and inspire the kitchen team, and ensure every guest experiences the premium quality that defines Green + The Grain. RESPONSIBILITIES : • Oversee and manage all back of house operations, including prep and inventory, • Support the General Manager in daily operations and decision making, • Lead by example, fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, and excellence, • Handle shift management, including opening & closing responsibilities, • Train, coach, and supervise kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques and safe food handling processes, • Ensure all recipes are prepared with accuracy, consistency, and attention to detail, • Uphold the highest standards of food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness, • Conduct regular quality checks on ingredients, prep, ensuring, • Assist with scheduling, labor management, and inventory control, • Monitor and control inventory, minimize waste, and manage food costs effectively, • Provide problem solving and conflict resolution support when needed, • Maintain compliance with health department regulations and company policies, • Partner with Assistant & General Managers team to execute smooth service during peak hours, • Previous kitchen management or culinary leadership experience required, • Strong knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and regulatory compliance, • Passion for quality and taste, with a sharp eye for detail and consistency, • Ability to train and mentor a team while maintaining high performance standards, • Comfort using POS systems, kitchen display systems, and digital training tools, • Strong organizational and problem solving skills, • Ability to thrive in a fast paced environment while maintaining composure under pressure, • Strong work ethic with a hands on, lead by example approach, • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, • Commitment to upholding brand standards, • Desire to grow into larger leadership roles within the company, • Competitive pay & benefits : health insurance, company matched 401k, virtual health care based on eligibility, • Paid time off, • Flexible schedules no nights, weekends or holidays, • Growth & advancement opportunities we love to promote from within & are expanding nation wide!, • A fresh, modern work environment with a supportive team culture Were passionate about what we do and how we do it.
