About the Role The Learning Experience Designer (LXD) is responsible for designing engaging, practical, and scalable learning experiences that support our frontline and leadership teams across the NAYA system. This role owns the end-to-end design of training in our LMS, Opus, translating real-world restaurant operations into clear, accessible, and impactful learning. You'll partner closely with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), operators, and People Culture leaders to build blended learning experiences---including eLearning, video, job aids, and assessments---rooted in adult learning best practices and designed for a diverse, frontline workforce. This role is ideal for someone who blends creative instructional design, strong technical execution, and a deep understanding of how adults learn on the job. What You'll Do Operational Instructional Design Content Creation • Design innovative, engaging learning experiences using eLearning, microlearning, blended learning, video, graphics, voiceovers, simulations, and job aids, • Apply modern instructional design methodologies (ADDIE, microlearning, scenario-based learning, blended learning) to meet diverse learning styles, • Translate complex operational and behavioral concepts into clear, learner-friendly content, • Source and/or create visuals, images, and media that elevate the learning experience and reflect the NAYA brand, • Review and refresh existing training content to ensure accuracy, relevance, and brand consistency Curriculum Design, LMS Management Collaboration • Conduct training needs assessments in partnership with operational and support center leaders, • Collaborate cross-functionally to build scalable curricula aligned to business priorities and KPIs, • Partner with SMEs to develop learning that maximizes retention and on-the-job application, • Build, test, launch, and maintain courses in Opus, ensuring accuracy, functionality, and usability, • Manage LMS content including posting videos, animations, and images, • Drive LMS adoption and promote a culture of continuous learning, • Proactively update training as processes, systems, or standards evolve, • Troubleshoot LMS and course issues as needed Training Evaluation Effectiveness • Measure learning effectiveness through assessments, learner feedback, dashboards, and business metrics, • Evaluate learning outcomes and ensure alignment with operational and people goals, • Apply a test-and-learn mindset to continuously improve content and impact Coaching, Support Field Connection • Draft and distribute communications announcing new or updated learning, • Support learners and stakeholders during launches and updates, • Visit restaurants to observe operations, validate training effectiveness, and gather feedback, • Act as a connector and influencer across teams to accelerate adoption and embed learning into daily work, • Champion a culture of growth, agility, and continuous learning About You Experience Skills • 3+ years of experience designing learning experiences (eLearning, video, classroom, blended learning), • Strong foundation in adult learning theory and frontline workforce training, • Proficiency with eLearning authoring tools such as Opus, Articulate 360, Storyline, • Proficiency with video tools such as Vyond and Camtasia, • Experience managing or working within a Learning Management System, • Ability to juggle multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment, • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, • Analytical mindset with a focus on continuous improvement, • Desire to learn and grow with our rapidly growing company Nice to Have (but not required) • Restaurant, QSR, retail, or hospitality experience, • Knowledge of food safety standards, QSR operations, or hospitality principles, • Degree or certification in Instructional Design, Organizational Development, Education, HR, or related field, • Ability to read and write in Spanish How You Show Up • Collaborative, relationship-driven, and solution-oriented, • Self-starter with an ownership mindset, • Curious, creative, positive, and energized by building things from scratch, • Likes to have fun while being challenged every day
