Reporting to Associate Director, Accounting, we are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our Accounting team. This role will focus primarily on revenue recognition, commissions, financial analysis, and compliance. The ideal candidate has a strong technical accounting background, particularly in ASC 606, and thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. This is a full-time position based in NYC. The role operates under a hybrid model, with minimum 1 day per week in our HQ at 60 Madison Ave office required. We reach almost 80,000 individuals and families, including almost 13,000 youth. CAMBA serves a diverse cross section of New Yorkers from new mothers in Brownsville to job seekers in the Rockaways. More than half of our clients are immigrants and refugees from around the globe. The program supports individuals with a range of needs, including severe substance use disorders, serious mental illness, education/employment needs, homelessness, tenuous engagement in treatment/social services, and repeated misdemeanor arrests primarily for theft and drug possession. The newSTART team employs a harm reduction approach with a main goal of helping clients begin to engage in community-based services. The Team Leader, Community, Support, and Supervision is responsible for the direct clinical services and supervision of a multidisciplinary team delivering court-ordered brief supervision and voluntary services. CASES seeks a mission-driven manager with advanced clinical and administrative leadership. The purpose of the newSTART ATI is to engage annually one thousand individuals at risk of jail sentences. The teams respond to participant needs and risks using a harm reduction approach to help clients begin to engage in community-based services. Included in this is accompanying the client to their assigned unit and ensuring the unit is fit for a new admission. The Shift Supervisor ensures all clients under the age of two are provided a crib upon their entry into the shelter and all new intakes are provided with linen, toiletries, kitchen utensils, and any/all other supplies issued to new clients.The Shift Supervisor provides orientation to all new admissions.The Shift Supervisor oversees the distribution of food from our onsite food pantry.The Shift Supervisor conducts periodic facility evacuations, periodic fire drills, and routine site tours(Walk through) and maintains the required records of all such drills and tours. The Shift Supervisor must maintain a visible presence throughout the facility during the entirety of his or her shift.The shift supervisor will conduct a monthly inspection of all fire extinguishers in the building an maintain log recording the monthly check, shift supervisor will also execute a work order for any fire extinguisher deficiencies found. The Shift Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the agency vehicle is properly signed out and all logging information is dually completed.The Shift Supervisor records and reports maintenance needs of the building (i.e. work order request).The Shift Supervisor attends all required staff meetings and scheduled trainings even when scheduled on a shift that is not regularly scheduled for them.The Shift Supervisor mediates client disputes and maintains logs of unusual events or activities.The Shift Supervisor interfaces with relevant public service/community entities, i.e.: police, fire department and hospitals in efforts to obtain emergency services when needed and assumes responsibility for obtaining emergency services when occasions arrive.Work hours are to be arranged with administration to accommodate the needs of the facility. The Staff on Duty teaches residents socially appropriate behavior by role-modeling. She/he must be a self-motivated individual who functions as part of a clinical environment which provides supportive services and resources to residents. The Staff on Duty is directly supervised by the Deputy Director of Operations/Deputy Director/Program Director. SPECIFIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: • Conduct hourly facility runs and document findings on log sheets., • Maintain all necessary communication in the facility log book., • Ensure cleanliness and maintenance of the facility through daily supervision of residents assigned to housekeeping job functions., • Maintain updated resident database, bed sheets, and room assignments., • Ensure that all therapeutic activities are properly facilitated and begin and end in a timely fashion., • When assigned, facilitate and monitor morning meeting, • Participate in crisis intervention and provide close observation and supervision of residents in crisis., • Distribute legal letters, medical feedback and metro cards to residents., • Monitor all residents leaving and reentering the facility., • Address all resident medical needs via the medical on-call policy & procedure., • When necessary, conduct resident screening for contraband and conduct urine toxicology tests., • Complete all incident reports prior to the completion of shift., • Ensure that all residents sign the HRA sign in sheet on a daily basis., • Attend regularly scheduled staff meetings., • Attend all required in-service training seminars., • Participate in quality improvement activities., • Other relevant duties as required. REQUIREMENTS: EDUCATION/TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES • High school diploma or G.E.D required., • Prior experience working in a clinical, mental health, housing or chemical dependency setting preferred., • Must demonstrate appropriate written, verbal, interpersonal and organizational skills.
