Job Description CNC Machinist – Metal Stamping Manufacturing Position Overview We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist with hands-on experience in a metal stamping manufacturing environment to support the machining, setup, and optimization of tooling and components used in stamping production. This role plays a key part in maintaining precision, improving cycle times, and ensuring consistent quality across stamped metal components. The ideal candidate has experience working in or alongside stamping press operations, press tooling, progressive dies, or toolroom machining supporting stamping processes. Key Responsibilities Metal Stamping Tooling & Production Support (Primary Focus) • Machine and modify components used in metal stamping dies and press tooling, • Support production by maintaining and improving stamping tooling performance, • Work closely with press operators, toolroom teams, and engineers to resolve tooling issues, • Assist with machining fixtures, die components, and replacement tooling parts, • Set up and operate CNC milling and turning machines supporting stamping manufacturing, • Edit and adjust G-code / M-code programs to improve machining efficiency and quality, • Perform tool offsets, fixture setups, and machine calibrations, • Inspect machined tooling components using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and CMM, • Verify compliance with engineering drawings and tolerance requirements, • Support root-cause analysis of tooling-related quality issues affecting stamped parts, • Perform routine machine maintenance to ensure uptime and process reliability, • Troubleshoot machining and tooling issues affecting stamping production, • Replace worn tooling components as needed, • Partner with manufacturing engineers to improve tooling performance, • Provide feedback on design-for-manufacturability (DFM) related to stamping tooling, • Support training of junior machinists and operators when needed, • Participate in production meetings focused on process optimization and safety Required Qualifications • 3–5+ years CNC machining experience in a metal stamping manufacturing environment, • Experience machining die components, press tooling, fixtures, or stamping-related tooling, • Strong blueprint reading and GD&T interpretation skills, • Experience editing or adjusting G-code programs, • Proficiency using precision inspection tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges, CMM), • Ability to support toolroom machining or stamping production tooling needs, • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsCompany DescriptionZobility (RGBSI), is dedicated to providing the highest quality of services to our clients and employees.
