Job DescriptionJob Title: CNC Mill Machinist Job Description We are seeking a skilled CNC Mill Machinist for our dynamic machine shop located in Santa Fe Springs, CA. This role requires expertise in operating and setting up CNC Mill machines, which will be the primary equipment used. Responsibilities • Communicate effectively with leadsman and machinist about job details before starting work., • Ensure safety and provide guidance for all employees., • Report any issues promptly to the Operations Manager., • Innovate and implement solutions to reduce waste during machining., • Follow all QMS procedures and work instructions accurately.Essential Skills, • Minimum of 5 years of CNC machining experience., • Proficient in providing information on specific machining methods., • Skilled in using hand tools like wrenches., • Ability to read blueprints, identify dimensions, and comprehend GD & T., • Capable of measuring parts and using measuring tools., • Understanding of G-code and tool wear conditions.Additional Skills & Qualifications, • Experience in a machine shop environment., • Setup and operating experience is essential., • Ability to lift up to 50lbs., • Excellent communication skills in English., • Strong skills in reading blueprints and schematics., • Experience with tight tolerances and offsets/change overs., • Aerospace machine shop experience is a huge plus., • Ability to perform job set-ups independently is a plus., • Excellent shop math skills and computer literacy are advantages.Why Work Here? Work Environment The work environment includes a choice of 1st Shift (7:00 am - 3:30 pm) or 2nd Shift (3:00 pm - 11:30 pm), with initial training on the 1st shift. Our facility is equipped with over 50 CNC machines and produces parts for a variety of industries, including aerospace and military applications. Candidates should be comfortable working with parts for military purposes. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Santa Fe Springs, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $45.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
