Job Description Position Summary: The HR Planning Manager will play a key role in shaping and driving people planning initiatives. This position is responsible for supporting the design and management of core HR programs and processes, including HR policy and program planning, compensation planning, workforce planning, organization and leadership planning, and HR data governance. Working closely with site leadership, HR, and cross-functional stakeholders, this role will help build scalable people frameworks, strengthen organizational effectiveness, and provide data-driven insights to support workforce and business decisions. Key Deliverables: HR Program and Policy Planning • Support the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of key HR programs and frameworks, including job structure, performance management, promotion criteria, and related HR policies., • Translate business priorities and organizational needs into practical HR guidelines and operating processes., • Help ensure consistency, governance, and clarity across people-related decisions and management practices., • Support annual compensation planning activities, including merit increase planning, budget allocation logic, and review criteria., • Analyze compensation data and prepare recommendations to support pay decisions and workforce cost management., • Track compensation-related metrics and planning inputs to support effective decision-making., • Partner with relevant stakeholders to support compensation reviews aligned with business priorities and workforce plans. Workforce Planning • Support workforce planning activities based on business priorities, headcount needs, and operational requirements., • Assist with annual and periodic manpower planning, including workforce-related budget inputs and hiring assumptions., • Monitor workforce movement and provide analysis to support planning discussions and resource decisions., • Support organization design and restructuring efforts, including role clarity, reporting structures, and organizational effectiveness reviews., • Help facilitate succession planning and talent continuity discussions for key roles., • Partner with leaders and HR stakeholders to support leadership pipeline planning and organizational readiness., • Build and maintain people data, dashboards, and reports for the Branchburg site., • Track key HR metrics such as headcount, turnover, labor cost, performance distribution, and promotion trends., • Generate insights from HR data to support workforce, compensation, and organization decisions., • Improve data quality, reporting discipline, and visibility through standardized HR reporting and governance processes. Basic Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required., • 7+ years of experience in workforce planning, HR planning, compensation, organization development, workforce planning, HR analytics, or related HR functions., • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to turn data and business needs into practical recommendations., • Solid understanding of HR programs and processes, including performance management, promotion planning, organization planning, and compensation planning., • Strong stakeholder management skills; ability to partner cross-functionally with HR, Finance, and business leadership., • Proven ability to communicate complex information effectively, producing executive-level reports and presentations that drive informed decision-making. Additional Preferences: • Proven HR experience within a GMP environment, • Working knowledge of federal and state employment laws, including New Jersey–specific requirements.., • Comfortable working in an environment where processes and frameworks are being built or refined., • Able to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution., • Experience with HRIS and analytics tools (e.g., ADP, SAP SuccessFactors, Oracle HCM, Power BI/Tableau, or similar)., • Strong experience in compensation planning support, workforce budgeting, or financial modeling., • HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP/SCP, PHR/SPHR) is a plus. This is an exempt, salaried role with an anticipated compensation range of $102,750 to $137,000.
