Job Description Position Overview The Commercial Project Manager will support Soundcoat’s Industrial & Medical OEM market segments by managing the full lifecycle of assigned projects, from initial inquiry through final delivery. This position is responsible for serving as a key internal point of contact, ensuring efficient quote development, accurate communication of requirements, and coordinated execution across purchasing, estimating, engineering, customer service, quality, and production. The role requires strong organizational skills, technical aptitude, and the ability to navigate complex projects with multiple deliverables. Customer Lead & Sales Support • Receive and qualify incoming leads, identifying required focus based on the opportunity., • Serve as the primary coordinator for all quoting activity on assigned projects from the Market Manager., • Collect, review, and clarify customer specifications, drawings, schedules, and scope requirements., • Advise Customer Service on quote content and details where applicable., • Work closely with engineering, estimating, and customer service to ensure quotes are accurate, timely, and aligned with project requirements., • Partner with purchasing to secure cost inputs, lead times, and material availability needed to complete estimates. This could include seeking and identifying new materials to meet customer specifications., • Facilitate communication between internal teams and the customer to resolve questions, discrepancies, or technical clarifications., • Partner with Customer Service to ensure that orders arrive as expected, are accurate, and that ship dates are properly addressed., • Develop specific customer proposals for both materials and services., • Develop and maintain project timelines, documentation, status reports, and communication touchpoints., • Coordinate internal workflows with production, purchasing, engineering, customer service, and logistics to ensure on-time execution of deliverables., • Monitor project progress and proactively identify risks, schedule impacts, or cost issues; escalate and resolve as needed., • Maintain accurate records of project data, contract terms, change orders, and customer communications., • Engage with Customer Service on margin maintenance activities., • Act as a primary contact for new customer inquiries throughout the quoting and project management phases., • Provide status updates, lead time information, and technical clarifications to support high customer satisfaction., • Create and maintain CRM entries, including quotes, notes, and project documentation. (Salesforce), • Support forecasting and reporting activities as requested by the Market Manager., • Ensure all internal systems accurately reflect project status, pricing, and delivery milestones., • Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent experience considered., • 2–5 years of inside sales, project coordination, or customer service experience in manufacturing, industrial products, or related sectors., • Understanding of industrial project workflows, drawings, and specification documents is highly desirable., • Proficiency in MS Office and CRM systems., • Strong organizational discipline and attention to detail., • Ability to interpret technical information and communicate it clearly., • Collaborative mindset with effective cross-department coordination skills., • Customer-oriented with strong problem-solving capability., • Deer Park office-based role with regular interaction across teams and with external customers and management., • Encompasses duties with Soundcoat West based employees, customers, and opporutnities.
