Job DescriptionDescription: Smoked meat Manager’s Mission Perform all duties related to the preparation and presentation of smoked meat products to make them retail sale ready. Personal Qualities • Positive, self-motivated and self-driven attitude with a strong passion to succeed and improve, • Highly adaptable and able to handle stressful situations, • Possess strong interpersonal skills with the ability to listen to, communicate with and understand others, • Detail oriented, • Passion to Sell Requirements: Essential Functions • Build relationships with customers and along with Team Players provide superior customer service, • Promote product sales by providing customers with information needed to make product decisions, • Promote large quantity smoked meat sales for individuals, organizations and large events, • Receive and inspect meat to insure quality and value, • Maintain sanitation and food safety, • Ensure the safe operation of all tools and machinery, • Rotate products and effectively merchandise the service and self-serve smoked meat cases to maximizes sales, • Maintain a high level of quality regarding freshness, • Introduce new marketing ideas by being innovative in product development, • Assist in setting accurate retail prices Education, Knowledge and Experience • Possess a thorough overall knowledge of all value added products, i.e., quality and ingredients/smoked meat merchandising, • Basic knowledge of technologically based equipment, • Ability to understand and use all needed machinery Physical and Other Requirements • Must be 18 years of age or older, • Must be able to lift and carry 75 pounds, • Must be able to stand, walk, bend, reach, kneel, squat, reach overheard and side-to-side for an extended period of time, • Must be able to move safely around equipment and possess dexterity in hands and fingers, • As dictated by business and need, must be able to work extended hours and varying work schedule
