Responsibilities Safely transport Older Adult Services participants to designated destinations. Drive participants to trips and special events as needed. Maintain accurate daily transportation route sheets. Ensure participant safety at all times, including: Assisting participants in and out of vehicles Enforcing seatbelt use Securing wheelchairs properly Collect and record transportation contributions when applicable. Assist with maintaining and submitting transportation data. Complete required reports (e.g., incident reports) and submit to appropriate departments. Maintain vehicle cleanliness and complete daily G.O.A.L. sheets; coordinate routine maintenance with the Transportation Coordinator. Serve as a substitute for other QCH drivers when needed. Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by the Transportation Coordinator. Qualifications Valid NY State Driver’s License with an excellent driving record (must be maintained). Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to engage with older adults respectfully and patiently. Ability to complete written reports and maintain accurate records. Self-motivated and resourceful; able to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to maintain confidentiality and use discretion appropriately.
