Why This Role Matters This isn’t just another accounting job—it’s a chance to be part of Combe’s global financial transformation. We’re streamlining processes and enhancing reporting through Oracle Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) and Oracle Cloud ERP, already implemented in North America and expanding globally. As a Staff Accountant, you’ll be hands-on in the monthly close process, using your strong Excel skills to prepare journal entries, analyze data, and support reporting that drives smarter decisions. Your work will directly impact accuracy, efficiency, and transparency across our financial operations. If you thrive on precision, collaboration, and continuous improvement, this is your opportunity to make a meaningful difference. What You’ll Do ???? Be the heartbeat of our financial operations. You’ll: • Own the close: Prepare journal entries and workpapers for monthly, quarterly, and year-end closings, • Dig into the details: Analyze accruals and prepaid assets to ensure accuracy and transparency, • Support sales insights: Reconcile net sales, adjust for shipments in transit, and help allocate products correctly, • Be a connector: Collaborate with Legal, Marketing, Sales, R&D, and Tax to understand account activity, • Tell the story: Assist in analyzing monthly P&L and balance sheet results, and prepare supporting workpapers for management reporting, • Keep us compliant: Prepare U.S. census and other government-required financial reports, • Streamline processes: Identify bottlenecks in the monthly close and propose smart, practical solutions, • Elevate our reporting: Improve the quality of accounting analysis and workpapers to support both management and tax teams, • Partner with plants: Collaborate with our three domestic manufacturing locations and corporate HQ teams, • Support audits: Help prepare annual audit workpapers and contribute to year-end financial statement footnotes, • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, • 1+ years of experience in private or public accounting, • Familiarity with general accounting and month-end close processes, • Knowledge of U.S. GAAP, • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLookups, IF statements, Pivot Tables), Word, and Outlook, • Experience with ERP systems—Oracle preferred, • Strong analytical, communication, and time management skills ????
