Job Description Motor Assistance Vehicle Technician (MAVT)/ Motor Assistance Vehicle Operator (MAVO) SUMMARY: The Motor Assistance Vehicle Technician/Operator (MAVT/MAVO) is responsible for all aspects of patients’ care within the scope of certification. Essential Job Functions The Motor Assistance Vehicle Technician/Operator (MAVT/MAVO) is an integral part of the Virgo transportation team. In this position the MAVT/MAVO transports ambulatory patients to and from residences and or skilled nursing facilities to medical treatments and or appointments, and then return them. Some of the patients are able to ambulate to our vehicles while other must be moved in their wheelchairs, or are able to move on their electric scooters. No person is to ride the lift while standing, or on the electric scooter. The patients are placed in a wheelchair to go up on the lift, and they are moved inside and secured to the vehicle either on the bench seat or in the wheelchair. Should there be an aide or family member accompanying the patient, they must be secured in the vehicle as well. The MAVT/MAVO must check to see if any belongings or paperwork must accompany the patient for the transport, and then ensure that it gets dropped off with the patient. For each trip the appropriate documentation must be filled out, and where required, obtain the necessary signatures from the patient and /or facility. In the event monies are to be collected at time of service, a receipt is to be filled out and a copy given to the patient, or the person accompanying the patient. The MAVT/MAVO must be capable of good oral communications as for every leg of the trip dispatch must be communicated with, as to alert them to the status of the transport. In addition should any incident occur dispatch must be notified in a timely manner. The vehicle being used for any particular shift must be checked both prior and post usage for mechanical operations, fluids, and general cleanliness. The MAVT/MAVO must be able to utilize maps in order to locate facilities or residences that they are not aware of, with the assistance of dispatch. At the conclusion of the MAVT’s/MAVO's shift they must turn in the appropriate paperwork, and monies collected. Job Description Motor Assistance Vehicle Technician (MAVT)/ Motor Assistance Vehicle Operator (MAVO) SUMMARY: The Motor Assistance Vehicle Technician/Operator (MAVT/MAVO) is responsible for all aspects of patients’ care within the scope of certification. Essential Job Functions The Motor Assistance Vehicle Technician/Operator (MAVT/MAVO) is an integral part of the Virgo transportation team. In this position the MAVT/MAVO transports ambulatory patients to and from residences and or skilled nursing facilities to medical treatments and or appointments, and then return them. Some of the patients are able to ambulate to our vehicles while other must be moved in their wheelchairs, or are able to move on their electric scooters. No person is to ride the lift while standing, or on the electric scooter. The patients are placed in a wheelchair to go up on the lift, and they are moved inside and secured to the vehicle either on the bench seat or in the wheelchair. Should there be an aide or family member accompanying the patient, they must be secured in the vehicle as well. The MAVT/MAVO must check to see if any belongings or paperwork must accompany the patient for the transport, and then ensure that it gets dropped off with the patient. For each trip the appropriate documentation must be filled out, and where required, obtain the necessary signatures from the patient and /or facility. In the event monies are to be collected at time of service, a receipt is to be filled out and a copy given to the patient, or the person accompanying the patient. The MAVT/MAVO must be capable of good oral communications as for every leg of the trip dispatch must be communicated with, as to alert them to the status of the transport. In addition should any incident occur dispatch must be notified in a timely manner. The vehicle being used for any particular shift must be checked both prior and post usage for mechanical operations, fluids, and general cleanliness. The MAVT/MAVO must be able to utilize maps in order to locate facilities or residences that they are not aware of, with the assistance of dispatch. At the conclusion of the MAVT’s/MAVO's shift they must turn in the appropriate paperwork, and monies collected. Summary: Under the supervision of the Clerical Supervisor, primary function is to be the front-line interface of the Dental Center to its patients. The Registration Desk Clerk will perform at a high level of efficiency and customer service to assist the patient in the entirety of the appointment process. Additional functions will include and not be limited to: scanning, data entry, and administrative tasks related to patient care and standard operations. The Registration Desk Clerk is cognizant of the philosophy, standards, objectives and policies of the Dental Center and the Funds. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Register Dental Center patients and the ability to qualify emergency patients using the Dental Center emergency patient guidelines, • Schedules initial, recall and treatment appointments, and reschedules appointments as necessary, • Checks patients in for their scheduled appointments, verifies patient’s demographics, quotes internal policies and benefits, • Assists patients with their benefit concerns and questions, • Perform monthly patient outreach by contacting members listed on the waitlist platform, • Verifies benefits eligibility and makes notes in the Dental Practice Management system, • Answers incoming calls related to appointments, vendor inquiries, current and future patient inquiries, and internal departmental inquiries, • Checks Delta Dental website and for claims history and frequency limitation for dental services being provided, • Confirms appointments for the next day as needed, • Assist patients with various administrative forms (HIPAA, Minor Consent, Records Release, Radiographs, Referrals, and Attendance, etc…), • Creates and maintains patient accounts in the Dental Practice Management System and any other required internal systems, • Assists with additional projects or initiatives, resulting from the day-to-day operations, • Releases patients from appointments as needed, • Assist in the release of patient records following an authorized request, • Scans and loads patient documents to their accounts in the Dental Practice Management system, • Utilizes resources available to troubleshoot daily clerical challenges in an efficient and effective manner, • Maintains detailed knowledge of dental benefits to provide plan participants with up to date plan and benefits information in English in Spanish, • Participate in any/all of the Dental Center improvements geared towards operational excellence, • Documents daily interactions in the Dental Practice Management system, • All other duties assigned by Clerical Supervisor or other supervisor/manager. Job DescriptionPOSITION: Security Guard/Receptionist - Per Diem DEPARTMENT: Administration LOCATION: Rose Center @ 80 Pitt St. and Essex Community Center @ 175 Delancey St. REPORTS TO: Facilities Manager SALARY: $21.97 - $24.72 per hour START DATES: ASAP SCHEDULE: Flexibility to be on-call is required. Monday - Friday, must be available between 7am and 7pm with evening and weekend availability for special events. Schedule will vary depending on need. This is a per diem position. JOB SUMMARY: As the first point of contact for all visitors to 80 Pitt Street/175 Delancey, the Security Guard/Receptionist provides a welcoming environment and a strong sense of safety for the community. Day-to-day the Security Guard / Receptionist is responsible for visitor management, handling in-person and phone inquiries, and receiving and disbursing packages. Additionally, the Security Guard / Receptionist will act as the liaison to NYPD and NYFD and to all internal stakeholders on matters related to safety, security and emergency management. EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS: • Must have a High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED)., • Security License required., • Previous youth based/school/community center security experience., • Good conflict mediation and public relations skills., • Excellent written and verbal communication skills., • Must be a self-starter with the ability to work independently and with minimal guidance., • Previous experience working with a diverse population., • The ideal candidate must be personable, energetic, and enthusiastic., • Candidates must successfully complete the following: NYSDOH Fingerprinting Screening; New York State Clearance Review Background Check; three (3) Reference Checks; Physical with updated TB Test (Fees may apply)., • Greet visitors/employees warmly and professionally upon entering, address their inquiries and direct them to the appropriate locations., • Logs medical or safety related incidents., • Manage and mediate all conflicts., • Responds to all emergencies (i.e. medical, unsafe areas, trespassing, altercations, etc.), • Controls the flow of traffic so that only those participants scheduled are allowed in the building or into appropriate program areas., • Maintain positive relationships with key stakeholders, program participants, families, community members and program staff., • Keep lobby clear of unauthorized persons, including loitering children, adults, or adolescents., • Keep abreast of what is going on in the building each day., • Manage registration forms and process identification cards for program participants (as needed)., • Monitor, access and review security footage as needed., • Candidates must be able to sit or stand for long periods, climb stairs, lift or move up 50 lbs., • Familiarity with the latest visitor management software and security-related technology is a plus.
