Dane Street is an Independent Review Organization and a national provider of Independent Medical Exams (IMEs), among other offerings, and we are expanding our physician panel resulting in opportunities for non-traditional physician work and supplemental income. About us: The Low Income Housing Institute (LIHI) has a 30-year history and track record of owning and managing low-income housing; developing innovative solutions to homelessness; advocating for housing justice; providing supportive services; and operating hygiene services for homeless people at our Urban Rest Stops. LIHI staff have developed over 5,000 affordable housing units and manages over 3,000 units including rental housing, permanent supportive housing and transitional housing. Job Description Amen Clinics are outpatient health care clinics that have been providing mental wellness strategies to patients of all ages since 1989. We offer patient-first experiences and customized solutions to an array of behavioral and psychiatric conditions. This is an exciting and unique professional opportunity. The psychiatrist provides clinical leadership to ensure treatment is evidence-based and outcome driven. In addition to having the use of master’s level clinical historians, psychological testing, neuropsychological screening tools, functional brain imaging, and emerging treatments such as TMS and neurofeedback, you will be in a healthy and aesthetically pleasing work environment. You will be mentored on a variety of integrative methods that will expand your professional repertoire. You will also have multiple opportunities for writing and speaking, if that appeals to you. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Assist in the development, promotion and delivery of the approved Amen Clinics Method to brain health, • Patient evaluations – incorporate clinical history and brain SPECT scan findings during patient evaluation and complete final report on the day of patient evaluations., • Expected to remain current with brain imaging, psychiatric, pharmaceutical and nutraceutical technologies., • Evaluation and treatment of patients with various conditions, including: o Attention deficit/hyperactivity disorders o Mood disorders o Anxiety disorders o OCD o Psychosis o Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder o Traumatic brain injury o Obesity o Medical issues/hormone imbalances o Addictions o Alzheimer’s Disease o Memory and learning issues o Cognitive impairment o Autism spectrum disorders o Brain infections, such as Lyme disease • Commitment to using evidence-based, non-pharmacologic interventions correlated with research findings by Amen Clinics., • Attending Physician and Staff meetings., • Outreach/collaboration with outside professionals in order to build good relationships with referral sources. Qualifications and Requirements: • Board Certified preferred. Double Board Certified – a plus., • Experience working in a private practice setting--being efficient, developing referral relationships, doing outstanding clinical work, and establishing positive therapeutic relationships., • Willingness to learn to use brain imaging in clinical practice. We will train you to use brain SPECT imaging., • Experience dealing with medical issues including hormone imbalance and deficiencies as well as understanding the role they play in contributing to and/or complicating mental illness., • Experience treating patients with interventions other than psychotropic medications, including psychotherapy and evidence-based nutraceuticals. For those with limited experience in nutraceutical and other non-pharmacologic interventions, we will provide training., • Dedication to helping individuals, families and systems (such as schools, businesses, and treatment facilities) reach their full potential by creating and developing “brain healthy” strategies and practices., • Time management, organization and computer skills and ability to work independently and within a team are critical., • Excellent command of spoken and written English., • Empathy, emotional stability, ability to relate well to others, good communications skills, and above all genuine care and regard for the patient.
