Job Description & Requirements • Specialty: Labor and Delivery, • Discipline: RN, • Start Date: 01/05/2026, • Duration: 13 weeks, • 36 hours per week, • Shift: 12 hours, days Compensation for 36 hours: $3,090.00 Per Week Position Overview: The Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse provides specialized, high-quality care to expectant mothers throughout the labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum period. The RN will perform comprehensive patient assessments, fetal monitoring, labor support, medication administration (including oxytocin, epidural management support), and collaborate closely with obstetricians, midwives, anesthesiologists, and the interdisciplinary team. Responsibilities include maintaining patient safety, demonstrating strong clinical judgment in emergent and high-acuity situations, patient and family education, assisting with vaginal deliveries and cesarean sections, and participating in quality and performance improvement initiatives. Requirements: Licensure: Active NYS RN License – Required Experience: • Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery RN experience – Required, • Experience circulating for C-sections – Preferred, • Patient ratio experience: Typically 1:1 or 1:2 – Preferred, • BLS (AHA) – Required, • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) – Required, • ACLS (AHA) – Preferred, • EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring) Certification – Preferred Facility & Unit Details: • Unit: Labor & Delivery, • Patient Ratios: Typically 1:1 for active labor, 1:2 for early labor/post-delivery Scheduling: • Float Required: May float to Postpartum, Mother–Baby, or Well-Baby Nursery as needed, • Weekend Coverage: Required per schedule Vaccine Policy: Flu Vaccine: Required HonorVet Technologies Job ID #31470183.
