Position Summary We're looking for an experienced Licensed Vocational Nurse II (LVN) to join our growing allergy practice. The ideal candidate has a passion for clinical care, excellent communication skills, and thrives in a fast-paced environment focused on quality and patient satisfaction. As an LVN, you will provide support for a diverse number of tasks, including, but not limited to performing allergy and asthma testing, administering injections, educating patients, and creating allergy serums and oral desensitization vials for our food allergy program. This position reports to the Practice Manager and physicians onsite but will work closely with the team consisting of NPs, nurses, other LVNs, and MAs. This position is perfect for an LVN that wants to advance and make a real contribution to their community and team. This is a full-time, non-exempt (hourly) position, scheduled for 40 hours per week. Work hours may vary based on assigned clinic location, Monday through Friday. This role will be based primarily in our La Jolla and Solana Beach clinics but may also provide support to other nearby locations within San Diego County. The ideal candidate is adaptable and enjoys collaborating across multiple sites to ensure seamless operations and excellent patient experiences. Key Responsibilities • Patient Care & Education:, • Educates patients and families on allergy and asthma management, including use of respiratory spacers and anaphylaxis awareness., • Provides high-quality clinical care and patient support throughout the visit., • Clinical Procedures & Testing:, • Assists with and performs skin prick testing, patch testing, and breathing tests., • Prepares and administers allergy immunotherapy, nebulized, and respiratory medications per provider orders and protocols., • Assists with clinical tasks such as taking vital signs, patient intake, administering allergy shots, and performing skin testing, under the direction of a physician or RN., • Helps prepare for and support procedures like spirometry or food and drug challenges., • Monitors patients during and after treatments and reports any concerns to the appropriate clinical lead., • Provider Support & Documentation:, • Prepares rooms and patients for provider visits, assists during procedures, sends prescriptions, completes care plans and discharge summaries., • Accurately documents vitals, testing results, and patient data in the EMR, ModMed., • Ensures exam rooms and clinical spaces are clean, organized, and well-stocked., • Supports the delivery of high-quality patient care in a collaborative, team-based environment., • Administrative & Operational Tasks:, • Submits prior authorizations as needed., • Organizes and stocks clinical areas, checks emergency medications monthly, and prepares allergy testing trays and immunotherapy folders., • Uses sterile technique for serum preparation in accordance with ACAAI guidelines., • Flexes as needed to support both front and back-office functions., • Training, Compliance & Professional Standards:, • Adheres to HIPAA and OSHA regulations., • Demonstrates clinical competence and follows nursing leadership directives., • Participates in training and onboarding of new team members, sharing Modena's preferred techniques and clinical standards., • Additional duties as assigned.
