American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN Interventional Radiology for a travel nursing job in Atlanta, Georgia. Job Description & Requirements • Specialty: Interventional Radiology, • Discipline: RN, • Start Date: 04/13/2026, • Duration: 13 weeks, • 40 hours per week, • Shift: 8 hours, days, • Employment Type: Travel Assignment Overview • Shift: Days, 5x8hrs, • Hours: 40 hrs/wk, • Start Date: Apr 13, 2026, • Length: 13 weeks, • Outpatient imaging center setting, working in the Interventional Radiology unit, • Patient population includes those undergoing IR procedures and mammography follow-up, • Responsibilities include patient assessment (BP monitoring, pre-procedure medication documentation), procedure assistance, and patient education, • Floating may be required to nearby IR locations within the Atlanta area, • Schedule: 8-hour day shifts, 7:30am–4:00pm, 5 days per week, • No on-call requirementsRequirements, • Active GA or Compact RN license required, • Current AHA BLS certification required (must not be expired), • Minimum 2 years of Interventional Radiology RN experience required, • Driver's License required for considerationAdditional Information, • Duties include drawing up Lidocaine for techs, sending and documenting pathology to radiologists, performing patient callbacks following abnormal mammography results, dressing biopsy sites, and providing pressure after biopsies, • Provides patient support and education throughout exam and procedure process, • Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — local candidates will not be considered, • Former permanent staff returning as travelers must have a minimum 2-year break before being eligible, • Any requested time off (RTO) must be submitted upfront — requests made after an offer is accepted will not be accepted With thousands of travel nursing and allied jobs nationwide, our attentive and approachable recruiters find positions that align perfectly with your career aspirations and personal requirements.
