Step into a vital role supporting surgical patients as a Registered Nurse in the operating room at a respected healthcare facility. This contract position offers the opportunity to make a significant impact while working alongside dedicated professionals in a dynamic surgical environment. Schedule: • Active RN license with experience in an operating room setting., • Strong assessment abilities—confidently manage care across pediatric to geriatric populations and adapt to each patient’s unique needs., • Demonstrated proficiency in clinical skills, including emergency procedures and usage of vital OR equipment., • Meticulous documentation habits, with strong understanding of regulatory guidelines., • Professional, courteous communication style that supports positive relationships with patients, families, and team members., • Thorough knowledge of patient safety protocols, including National Patient Safety Goals and Universal Protocol compliance., • Ability to provide individualized care for various procedures and anesthesia types, monitoring patient reactions and understanding., • Excellent organizational skills, with responsibility for prioritizing patient care based on changing conditions., • Experience with patient and family education, especially regarding pre- and post-operative processes., • Familiarity with Pre Admission Testing (PAT) responsibilities—including reviewing orders for appropriateness and timely execution., • Compliance with HIPAA guidelines and commitment to confidentiality., • Provide comprehensive pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative patient care., • Maintain accurate, timely patient charts and documentation., • Collaborate with the perioperative team to ensure the highest standard of care., • Educate patients and families regarding surgical procedures and recovery expectations.
