Job Description About Us HQ Chiropractic is the Auto Injury Headquarters of the Permian Basin. We treat patients recovering from auto accidents and personal injuries across chiropractic care, rehabilitation, and diagnostic imaging — including open upright MRI through our partner clinic, Permian Imaging. Our PI volume is growing, and we need a billing professional who knows this space cold. About the Role This is not a general medical billing role. We are looking for a Medical Biller with real personal injury experience — someone who has worked LOPs, coordinated with attorneys, tracked liens through settlement, and knows how to maximize reimbursement on PI cases. You will own the full billing cycle for our PI book of business, working closely with clinical staff, attorneys, and adjusters. If you are detail-oriented, proactive, and want a role where your work directly drives clinic revenue, we want to hear from you. What You'll Do • Manage the full billing cycle for PI cases — claim preparation, submission, follow-up, and collections, • Coordinate with attorneys on letters of protection (LOPs), liens, and settlement disbursements, • Submit accurate claims to private insurers, Medicare, and Medicaid for non-PI cases, • Assign correct ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes for chiropractic, rehabilitation, and diagnostic imaging services, • Track and appeal denied or underpaid claims, • Manage patient accounts, billing inquiries, and accounts receivable, • Maintain accurate billing records for audits, legal reviews, and settlement documentation, • Partner with clinical staff to verify treatment plans align with billing, • Ensure full compliance with HIPAA, federal and state regulations, and payer policies What We're Looking For • 2+ years medical billing experience, • 1+ year personal injury billing experience (LOPs, attorney coordination, liens), • Proficiency with ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding, • Experience with EHR/billing software (Eclipse a plus, training provided), • Strong written and verbal communication — you'll talk to attorneys, adjusters, and patients, • High attention to detail and organizational discipline, • Working knowledge of HIPAA and healthcare compliance Preferred • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration or related field, • Bilingual English/Spanish, • Experience billing diagnostic imaging (MRI) Compensation & Benefits • $21.00 – $24.00 per hour, based on experience, • Performance-based incentives tied to collections and clean claim rate (specifics shared during interview), • Paid time off and holidays, • Professional development and training opportunities, • Supportive, growth-oriented team in a busy specialty clinicCompany DescriptionAt HQ Chiropractic, we are committed to providing chiropractic solutions to address your unique needs, whether you are experiencing back pain, neck pain, headaches, or even muscular tightness and tension. At HQ Chiropractic, we are committed to providing chiropractic solutions to address your unique needs, whether you are experiencing back pain, neck pain, headaches, or even muscular tightness and tension.
