Grandview Ave., Odessa, TX 79762 \n Schedule: Monday–Friday during regular school hours \n Expected Workload: Approximately 35 hours per week \n Position Type: Part-Time, Campus-Based Assignment \n Subject Area: Mathematics or English Language Arts \n Make a Measurable Difference in Student Achievement\n UpReach Learning is seeking a dependable and student-centered Math or ELA Tutor Interventionist to support students at HSA–Odessa during the 2026–2027 school year. \n \n This is not an occasional or after-school tutoring position. The selected tutor interventionist will work on campus throughout the school day, providing consistent, targeted instruction to students who need additional academic support. \n \n Working with small groups and individual students, you will help identify and close learning gaps, reinforce essential skills, and build students’ confidence. You will also collaborate with classroom teachers and campus staff to ensure intervention supports the school’s academic goals. \n \n The selected candidate will be assigned primarily to either Mathematics or English Language Arts, based on qualifications and campus needs. \n Key Responsibilities\n\n • Deliver targeted intervention to small groups and individual students\n, • Provide instruction aligned with identified student needs and campus priorities\n, • Reinforce foundational, prerequisite, and grade-level skills\n, • Help students address unfinished learning and develop academic confidence\n, • Adjust instruction based on student understanding and progress\n, • Monitor student performance and maintain accurate intervention records\n, • Communicate student progress and concerns to teachers and designated campus staff\n, • Support multiple teachers and student groups throughout the school day\n, • Maintain a structured, positive, and academically focused learning environment\n, • Follow all campus schedules, instructional procedures, safety requirements, and student-support protocols\n, • Participate in required orientation, training, and program meetings\n, • Record working hours accurately through UpReach Learning’s timekeeping system\n\n Subject-Area Focus\n Mathematics Intervention\n Math intervention may include: \n\n • Number sense and numerical fluency\n, • Computation and mathematical procedures\n, • Fractions, decimals, ratios, and proportional reasoning\n, • Algebraic thinking\n, • Grade-level mathematical concepts\n, • Multi-step reasoning and problem-solving\n, • Application of mathematical skills in unfamiliar contexts\n\n English Language Arts Intervention\n ELA intervention may include: \n\n • Foundational reading and literacy skills\n, • Reading fluency and comprehension\n, • Vocabulary and language development\n, • Grammar and language conventions\n, • Written responses and composition\n, • Evidence-based reading and analysis\n, • Grade-level texts and academic language\n\n Required Qualifications\n\n • Bachelor’s degree\n, • Strong content knowledge in Mathematics or English Language Arts\n, • Availability to work consistently Monday through Friday during school hours\n, • Ability to provide effective small-group and one-on-one academic support\n, • Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills\n, • Ability to follow campus procedures and maintain accurate records\n, • Professional, dependable, and student-centered approach\n, • Commitment to student safety, confidentiality, and academic success\n\n Preferred Qualifications\n\n • Previous experience in teaching, tutoring, intervention, or academic support\n, • Experience working with students in a K–12 school setting\n, • Experience providing targeted small-group instruction\n, • Familiarity with progress monitoring and data-informed instruction\n, • Texas teaching certification, substitute authorization, or related educator credentials\n\n Teaching certification is preferred but is not required unless requested by the partner school. \n The Successful Candidate Will Be\n\n • Consistent and dependable\n, • Patient and encouraging\n, • Comfortable working with students at different skill levels\n, • Able to manage several student groups during the school day\n, • Responsive to teacher and campus feedback\n, • Organized in tracking attendance, instruction, and student progress\n, • Committed to helping students make measurable academic growth\n\n Schedule Expectations\n Daily weekday availability is required. The interventionist will follow the campus schedule established for the assignment, including scheduled instructional periods and an unpaid 30-minute lunch break. \n The exact daily start time, end time, lunch period, subject assignment, and student schedule will be confirmed before placement. Approximately 35 hours per week are anticipated. \n Assignment Conditions\n This is a school-based, need-dependent assignment. Placement is based on the needs and authorization of the partner school. \n The following may be adjusted based on campus and program requirements: \n\n • Placement and start date\n, • Math or ELA assignment\n, • Daily and weekly schedule\n, • Number of weekly hours\n, • Student caseload\n, • Assignment duration\n\n Approximately 35 hours per week are anticipated but are not guaranteed.
