Job DescriptionSalary: The HR Manager plays a critical role in shaping and supporting the Landis team by overseeing all aspects of human resources and employee experience. Reporting directly to the CEO, this role leads all aspects of HR including recruitment, employee relations, culture and engagement, compliance, compensation and benefits, training, and internal communications. The HR Manager serves as a trusted partner to leadership and employees across both office and field teams, ensuring that Landis attracts,retains, and develops top talent while fostering a positive, compliant, and safety-focused work environment. Essential Job Functions • Recruitment and Workforce Planning, • Manage full-cycle recruitment, including job postings, interviewing, assessments, onboarding, and introduction to Landis culture., • Manage employee offboarding including exit interviews., • Manage the annual internship program including recruitment, onboarding, training, and cultural engagement., • Employee Relations, • Serve as a point of contact for employee concerns and conflict resolution., • Conduct investigations and manage disciplinary actions when needed., • Promote positive employee engagement and retention efforts., • Visit jobsites frequently to build trust, gather feedback, and stay attuned to field employee needs., • Employee Experience, • In collaboration with the employee engagement and experience team pan and coordinate company events and develop and manage employee recognition programs., • Support employee wellness initiatives that promote overall well-being., • Champion mental health and work-life balance by facilitating access to mental health resources and promoting employee assistance programs., • Oversee office management to ensure a professional, organized, and well-functioning work environment., • Oversee the development and distribution of internal communications., • Compliance and Policy Management, • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws (e.g., FMLA, ADA, EEO, FLSA, etc.), • Maintain and update employee handbook and HR policies. Create policies as needed., • Manage recordkeeping and reporting for compliance, audits, and legal requirements., • Compensation and Benefits, • Oversee employee benefits programs (health, 401(k), etc.) and open enrollment., • Evaluate compensation structures and provide salary benchmarking and recommendations., • Manage paid time off programs., • Support Payroll processes through system entry, validation, and relationship with third party payroll provider., • Performance Management and Training, • Implement and oversee performance appraisal systems., • Support leadership in addressing performance issues and coaching., • Identify training needs and coordinate programs., • HR Systems and Data Management, • Maintain HRIS., • Process improvement efforts to support ease of use for field teams., • Strategic HR, • Align HR initiatives with organizational goals., • Participate in budget planning and forecasting for HR needs., • Serve as a trusted advisor to leadership and a culture champion., • Safety and Risk Management, • Support workplace safety programs and injury reporting., • Collaborate with operations to ensure a safe work environment., • Manage leaves of absence, workers compensation, and return to work programs., • Manage drug testing programs., • Manage OSHA reporting., • Support safety culture initiatives and participate in safety council efforts. Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to lift 20 pounds, sit for six hour stretches, reach, stretch and bend., • When visiting jobsites the employee is regularly required to have endurance and ability to walk job sites in outdoor elements including stairs and elevated structures, ability to bend, stretch, reach, kneel, squat, and climb.
