About This Opportunity This is a 6 month contract-to-hire position with opportunity for full-time conversion. We're seeking a Senior AI & Automation Lead for a contract-to-hire role to guide and build the AI-enabled foundation of one of our most important client transformation programs. This is a senior-level consulting role that blends architecture, hands-on development, and strategic enablement. You will define, design, and operationalize the AI and automation components that power a large-scale email and audience-orchestration ecosystem—including AI assistants, predictive segmentation, fatigue detection models, creative variant optimization, and early Agentforce-style workflows. This role is ideal for a consultant who is fluent in applied AI/LLM workflows, automation design, and cross-functional implementation. What Makes This Role Different This role sits at the intersection of AI architecture, workflow automation, and program enablement. You will: • Design and build AI-driven workflows that support segmentation, send eligibility, fatigue detection, and content optimization, • Develop automation frameworks that improve efficiency, reduce manual work, and power centralized execution, • Lead technical discovery and guide the client on AI adoption, integration points, risks, and guardrails, • Translate business needs into LLM workflows, orchestration logic, and automated decision layers, • Collaborate with Data Engineering, Marketing Ops, Product, and Creative teams, • Define readiness for journey orchestration and Agentforce-style next-best-action automation, • Provide ongoing technical leadership while enabling the client team to scale the solution sustainablyRequired Skills AI & Automation Architecture, • Proven experience designing and implementing AI-enabled workflows (LLM orchestration, RAG, agentic logic), • Experience building AI assistants or automated decisioning workflows supporting complex business rules, • Ability to design fatigue detection, suppression logic, eligibility scoring, or predictive segmentation workflows, • Experience operationalizing AI models or automation logic within marketing or CRM ecosystemsTechnical Depth, • Experience working with APIs, orchestration layers, and automation platforms, • Fluency with Python for workflow logic, model handling, or data transformations, • Comfort working with Snowflake, CDPs, or data warehouses to power AI logic, • Understanding of data pipelines, refresh logic, and schema requirements, • Knowledge of best practices around reliability, monitoring, guardrails, and error handlingAI Program Leadership, • Ability to translate business needs into AI/automation requirements, • Experience guiding stakeholders on capabilities, limitations, and responsible AI practices, • Skill in running technical discovery sessions across marketing, product, and data teams, • Ability to define prioritization, feasibility, sequencing, and implementation plansCross-Functional Collaboration, • Strong communication skills—able to explain AI workflows to both technical and non-technical audiences, • Experience partnering with Creative, Legal, Product, Data, and Division-level marketing teams, • Ability to document logic, create playbooks, and build operational clarity around automated workflowsWhat You'll Do, • Lead technical discovery for AI-enabled segmentation, eligibility, and optimization, • Design workflows for fatigue detection, predictive segmentation, and automated content selection, • Build prototypes of AI assistants and automated QA logic, • Collaborate with data and product teams to define schemas, pipelines, and integration points, • Build and refine AI-driven workflows, agentic logic, and orchestration frameworks, • Implement and document automation guardrails, error handling, and monitoring, • Support predictive audience models and ongoing segmentation enhancements, • Partner with Creative and Legal teams to design metadata-driven variant selection, • Maintain runbooks, logic documentation, and technical decision records, • Provide cross-functional enablement so client teams can maintain long-term ownership, • Competitive hourly pay, • Flexible hybrid work arrangement, • Comprehensive benefits package including health, vision, and dental insurance, • 401(k) with company match, • Team-member equity opportunities, • $1,000 WFH stipend to spend in your first year, • Your resume highlighting AI workflow, automation, and orchestration experience, • A brief note describing relevant AI/automation projects you've built or led
