Job Description Job Title: Senior Project Manager – Construction Job Description This Senior Project Manager role leads complex residential and commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout across the Hudson Valley. The position suits a hands-on construction professional who oversees multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring high standards of quality, safety, and client satisfaction. You will manage custom homes, luxury renovations, commercial construction, and restoration work for a full-service design-build contractor known for quality craftsmanship, professionalism, and delivering projects on time and on budget. Responsibilities • Lead multiple residential and commercial construction projects simultaneously from concept and estimating through final delivery and closeout., • Oversee project budgets, schedules, contracts, change orders, and cost controls to ensure profitability and timely completion., • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, architects, engineers, inspectors, and subcontractors throughout the project lifecycle., • Plan and lead project kickoff meetings, regular progress meetings, and on-site coordination sessions to keep all stakeholders aligned., • Review drawings, specifications, and scopes of work to identify risks, constructability issues, and cost-saving opportunities., • Ensure all projects comply with local building codes, safety regulations, and internal quality standards., • Coordinate procurement of materials, subcontractors, and long-lead items to support project schedules., • Mentor and support Project Managers, Superintendents, and field staff to promote best practices and professional development., • Maintain accurate project documentation, including reports, logs, and billing schedules, to support transparency and effective project control., • Manage project scheduling and sequencing to optimize construction means and methods and minimize disruptions., • Oversee preconstruction activities such as estimating, scope development, and value engineering for upcoming projects., • Support change management by preparing, reviewing, and negotiating change orders with clients and subcontractors., • Ensure effective communication with all stakeholders to maintain strong client relationships and repeat business., • Experience in construction project management., • Proven background managing residential and/or commercial construction projects., • Strong knowledge of construction means and methods, sequencing, and scheduling., • Demonstrated expertise in project budgeting, forecasting, and cost control., • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and maintain strong client relationships., • Proficiency with construction management software and Microsoft Office., • Experience with general contracting and construction management for residential and commercial projects., • Hands-on experience with project scheduling, preconstruction, estimation, and change order management., • Design-build project experience., • Construction experience in the Hudson Valley or New York State., • OSHA certification., • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field., • Experience with custom homes, luxury renovations, residential additions, and full-scale remodels., • Experience with commercial construction and tenant fit-outs., • background in design-build renovation and restoration projects., • Strong communication, leadership, and mentoring skills. The work environment combines office-based project management with regular on-site presence at residential and commercial construction projects throughout the Hudson Valley. You will work closely with a collaborative team that includes project managers, superintendents, field staff, and design and trade partners. You will use construction management software and Microsoft Office tools daily to manage schedules, budgets, documentation, and communication. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Fishkill, NY. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $150000.00 - $200000.00/hr.
