Job Description • $750– on completion of 3 months of employment Mission: An Applied Behavior Analysis approach to lifelong quality educational, habilitative, vocational and recreational programs for individuals with autism and other intellectual disabilities. Behavioral Analyst (BCBA) – Day Habilitation and IRAs 1. Qualifications A. Minimum Masters' Degree in Education or Behavior Psychology or a related field B. Work Experience in the field of Developmental Disabilities/OPWDD C. Licensed Behavior Analyst, Board Certified Behavior Analyst D. Knowledge of educational, behavioral procedures, principles and technology E. Sensitivity to the needs of the program participants F. Ability to flex work hours as needed to go to IRAs in late afternoons, evenings or weekends Specific Responsibilities A. Reviews pre-placement, psychological, educational, residential, social, and medical assessments and makes recommendations to the Admissions Team regarding the appropriateness of placement for meeting a consumer’s needs. B. Ongoing review of Life Plans to ensure appropriateness of placement, goals and objectives, educational methods, and related services. C. Reviews Plans to ensure compliance with existing regulations and agency philosophy. D. Conducts reviews to ensure the program participants are served according to LP goals E. Participates in Human Rights Committee Meetings to present program participants behavioral data, address and discuss the issues and to follow up on the recommendations made by the Committee. E. Reviews incidents involving behavioral issues. F. Observes staff interaction with program participants, provide feedback, collects data and ensure data is graphed. G. Develops and trains staff in behavioral principles and ABA technology and individualized behavior programs. H. Ensures proper oversight of behavior programs, and of training for staff and program participants. I. Participates in updating Agency policies and procedures related to behavior programming/ABA J. In conjunction with HR/Training and colleagues, creates and leads orientation and ongoing training for new employees with regards to behavioral principles K. Conducts Functional Behavior Assessments for individuals in the programs (DH and IRAs) as needed. L. Writes, trains, and implements behavior support plans as needed for individuals in the programs (DH and IRAs). M. Collaborates with program staff on daily curriculum aligned with individual valued outcomes. N. Mentors and supervises staff for certification as Registered Behavior Technician and/or BCBA. O. Accompany individuals on psychiatry appointments as needed. P. Visits residents at IRAs as needed to manage behavior challenges, implement behavior strategies, and trains staff on behavior plans. Q. Participates in the screening/interview process for applicants, makes recommendations on hiring. General Responsibilities A. Follows all Hawthorne Foundation Inc. Policies and Procedures and Mission. The AP Specialist position will work with employees across all areas of the organization, as well as communicate with external vendors, and have close interaction with the Director of AP & AR, working diligently to ensure all departmental needs are met. This role will primarily handle invoice processing for overhead and A&P invoices, recurring invoices, and tax payments, and attending to AP inquiries and reconciliations. The AP Specialist must be a well-organized team player, and ensure accuracy across all tasks. This position will have both a day-to-day and ongoing impact on financial transactions. This role will be responsible for the daily maintenance and end-to-end process flow of our Concur Invoice system. We are an energetic company seeking a passionate individual who will embrace change, find efficiencies, and offer enhanced solutions. Responsibilities: • Serve as Concur Invoice Administrator ensuring invoices flow through the system properly and into SAP; determine & validate G/L expense coding, and generate reports for overhead, A&P and tax type invoices for the organization, • Review, validate and assign appropriate GL expense coding for overhead, A&P, recurring, and tax-related invoices, • Generate and maintain accurate AP reports for management review, • Manage AP email inbox as well as receiving and opening of incoming mail, • Respond to vendor inquiries, reconcile vendor statements, research and correct discrepancies; reconcile any irregularities in receipts, • Reconcile statements for overseas suppliers, • Assist with payment runs and month end close activities, • Support vendor master maintenance, including bank account verification for payment changes, • Maintain files and documentation accurately, in accordance with company policy, • Provide support/assist during internal & external audits, • Develop process efficiencies surrounding all AP functions, • Support the process of issuing 1099’s on an annual basis, • Generate reports for use by senior management, ensuring accuracy and timeliness, • Perform and assist with special projects as needed, • Provide backup and coverage for the wider AP and AR team as needed Competencies: • Passionate, team player, eager to learn and grow, • Self-motivated, professional and organized, • Excellent interpersonal and oral/written communication skills, • Committed to continuous process improvement and open to change, • Results driven, strong initiative, maintains appropriate sense of urgency, • Attention to detail/constant desire for accuracy including multiple check points, • Organizational & time management skills; effective judgment in prioritizing and time allocation Required Education and Experience: • BA/BS degree preferred, with 2-5 years experience in Accounts Payable/Accounting, • Expertise in SAP (or equivalent ERP) and/or Concur is a plus, • Excellent organizational/project management skills, • Excellent communication skills and written skills, • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word OTHER DUTIES Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
