Our Medical Scribes are an essential part of that mission. Working directly alongside an assigned physician, the Medical Scribe helps coordinate the physician's clinical day, supports patient care, and ensures that documentation is accurate, thorough, and completed efficiently. Position Overview The Medical Scribe works hand-in-hand with an assigned physician throughout the clinical day. This is much more than a traditional documentation role. The Medical Scribe serves as the physician's clinical partner, helping manage the flow of the schedule, preparing patients and charts, documenting encounters, and anticipating what the physician will need next. The successful candidate must be able to remain one step ahead throughout the day—knowing where the physician needs to be, what each patient is being seen for, what documentation is required, and what needs to happen next to keep the schedule moving efficiently. This is a high-volume, fast-paced position requiring exceptional time management, attention to detail, communication, memory, and the confidence to appropriately help direct and organize the physician's workflow. Key Responsibilities • Work directly with an assigned physician throughout the clinical day., • Continuously monitor and manage the physician's daily schedule and patient flow., • Help keep the physician on schedule by anticipating upcoming visits, procedures, and clinical needs., • Room patients for office visits, consultations, and ultrasound-guided procedures., • Perform initial patient intakes and gather relevant clinical information., • Review and pull forward appropriate previous documentation for provider review., • Accurately document patient history, physical examination findings, procedures, treatment plans, and diagnostic test results as dictated or directed by the provider., • Maintain accurate, timely, and complete documentation within the electronic medical record., • Obtain relevant imaging reports and other clinical records needed for patient encounters., • Prepare charts for the following day's schedule and identify missing or outstanding information., • Input appropriate clinical templates into the EMR., • Maintain strong familiarity with the physician's upcoming patients and be prepared to summarize why the patient is being seen, relevant history, previous treatment, and outstanding clinical needs., • Dispense prescribed medical braces and DME in accordance with established protocols., • Properly measure and fit patients for prescribed braces., • Assist physicians during ultrasound-guided procedures., • Enter required patient information into ultrasound equipment when applicable., • Assist with procedural setup and room preparation., • Collect urine specimens in accordance with established clinical protocols., • Assist with general Medical Assistant responsibilities as necessary., • Communicate with Medical Assistants, front-desk staff, providers, and other departments to maintain efficient patient flow., • Identify potential delays or workflow issues and proactively communicate them to the physician and appropriate team members., • Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA, clinical, and organizational policies., • Help maintain clean, organized, stocked, and procedure-ready clinical areas., • Provide every patient with a compassionate, respectful, and professional experience. The ideal candidate is someone who is exceptionally organized, quick-thinking, detail-oriented, and comfortable taking ownership of a physician's daily workflow.
