Work Environment\n This role predominantly involves remote work, allowing you to provide counseling services from the comfort of your own space. However, you will have access to our outpatient office in Paterson whenever you require collaboration with colleagues or face-to-face client interactions. Key Responsibilities\n\n • Manage a personal caseload of clients, building rapport through consistent communication and fostering strong therapeutic relationships while upholding professional ethics and boundaries.\n, • Conduct regular meetings with clients to monitor progress, ensure stability, plan upcoming appointments, and determine discharge readiness when appropriate.\n, • Develop, implement, and manage individualized person-centered treatment plans that align with the unique needs of each client.\n, • Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including progress notes for each client, adhering to best practices and regulatory requirements.\n, • Perform thorough intake assessments to understand client backgrounds, needs, and therapeutic goals.\n, • Provide individual therapy sessions on a weekly basis, tailoring approaches to suit the therapeutic style and preferences of diverse clients.\n, • Engage in regular individual supervision sessions to ensure continuous professional development and reflective practice.\n, • Collaborate with other healthcare providers to create a holistic approach to client care, emphasizing integrated treatments when necessary.\n, • Maintain a growth mindset, actively seeking opportunities for self-improvement and applying best practices in counseling.\nPatient Population / Client Focus\n You will be working primarily with a diverse outpatient clientele that includes individuals of varying ages and backgrounds seeking help for a wide range of mental health issues. The client focus includes not just individual therapy but also family therapy, ensuring a comprehensive approach to mental health that accommodates the needs of entire households. Qualifications\n\n • A Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution is required.\n, • Must hold an unrestricted, independent, current, and active Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) credential.\n, • Minimum of one year of post-graduate experience providing direct clinical services in an outpatient setting.\n, • Comfortable with technology, proficient in using essential tools such as Excel spreadsheets, RMS systems, Outlook, and Pimsy.\n, • Demonstrated ability to conduct intake assessments and provide direct psychotherapy services to individuals and families.\nPreferred Experience\n Experience in applying various therapeutic modalities and evidence-based practices is highly regarded. Additionally, familiarity with electronic health records (EHRs) and experience working in a multidisciplinary team environment will be advantageous. Candidates who have specialized training in trauma-informed care or experience with specific populations will be viewed favorably.
