Requirements: REQUIREMENTS Education Required: None Preferred: Certified Nurse Assistant, Home Health Aide Certificate. • Each employee must have a physical examination and tuberculin test performed by a physician., • The tests are to be completed (with results) within seven (7) days after hire (unless regulations stipulate completion before employment.), • If the exams are not completed within this time, the employee will be placed on suspension until they are completed., • The Department of Social Services (DSS) licensing agency requires that fingerprint cards and an affidavit on criminal convictions be submitted for the purpose of conducting a criminal record review. The DSS will issue an approval or denial according to the criminal clearance reports. An approval must be obtained in order to retain employment Skills, knowledge and Abilities: • Skill in compassionately caring for elderly, knowledge of proper caregiving techniques, and the ability to care for several residents at one time., • Organizational Skills Must be able to maintain order and efficiency in performing job duties, maintain constant pace., • Mental: Must be able to handle stress well, stay calm under pressure.
