Job Description About the Role We’re hiring a Venue Sales & Growth Associate to eventually own outbound sales and expand our network of bars, restaurants, and unique spaces in NYC (and soon new cities!). This is not a “sit back and wait for leads” role. You will own the entire funnel, from sourcing your own leads, running outreach, and onboarding venues onto PartyPlace. You’ll work directly with the founders, learn our playbook quickly, and then help rewrite it as you find new, creative ways to bring on great venues. If you do well in this role, there is a clear path to owning venue partnerships as a core leader on the team. A Note on Work Style PartyPlace is an early-stage startup with big goals and a fast-moving culture. This is not a standard 9–5 job. Venue managers text back late, deals move on weekends, and momentum matters. There will be times you’ll work outside traditional hours, not because of face time, but because this role is about ownership, urgency, and driving outcomes. We’re also a small, scrappy team, which means you’ll often wear multiple hats. While your core focus will be sales and growth, there will be moments where you jump in to support operations, customer service, or other one-off projects. If you’re looking for strict hours or a focused lane, this probably won’t be the best match. If you want to own big outcomes early, move fast, and grow alongside the business, we’d love to meet you. We eliminate the hassle of contacting venues, filling out forms, and endless back-and-forth. Hosts can discover and instantly book the perfect venue in just a few clicks. Launched in 2023, PartyPlace now partners with 200+ NYC venues and attracts thousands of visitors each week. We’re building tools to make IRL gatherings easier and more spontaneous... and we’re just getting started. What You’ll Do • Own outbound sales: Build your own prospect lists, research targets, and consistently reach out to new bars and restaurants via email, phone, social, and in-person visits, • Hit clear targets: Drive a steady flow of new venue conversations and partnerships every month; you’ll be accountable for measurable outcomes, not just activity, • Be proactive, not reactive: Don’t just wait for us to hand you leads. You’ll be expected to come up with new angles, new lists, and new ways to get in the door, • Run the process end-to-end: From first touch to going live on PartyPlace, make sure venues move through the pipeline without slipping through the cracks, • Join the pitch: Sit in on sales meetings with the founders and support onboarding once a venue is ready to sign, • Make venues shine: Support venues in crafting the perfect listing!, • Pitch in on growth: Lend a hand as we expand to new markets (occasional travel possible) What Makes You a Great Fit • 0–2 years experience in sales, business development, partnerships, hospitality, or a similarly scrappy, outbound-heavy role, • You’re hungry and proactive: You don’t wait for a to-do list.
