    Part-time
    Bergen-Lafayette, Jersey City

Right Hand to the CEO | Future Leader | Builder of Possibilities Part-Time | New York City / Jersey City Area There are jobs. There are careers. And then there are opportunities that change the trajectory of your life. This is one of them. This person will often be the first impression, the last follow-up, and sometimes the face of the organization when the CEO cannot be present. We are therefore seeking someone whose professionalism, judgment, and presence inspire trust and confidence. For more than eleven years, STEM Kids NYC (and its affiliate program, STEM Kids New Jersey) have opened doors for young people through transformative STEM experiences that spark curiosity, build confidence, and expand opportunity. We partner with schools, families, universities, nonprofits, and community organizations to ensure that children—particularly those who have historically been underrepresented in STEM—can envision themselves as engineers, innovators, designers, and problem-solvers. Behind every thriving organization is someone extraordinary. Someone who notices the details others miss. Someone who anticipates needs before they are spoken. Someone who can think three steps ahead. Someone who can draft an impeccable email, reorganize a chaotic calendar, coordinate an event, solve a problem, run an errand, reassure a family, prepare materials for a meeting, and still ask, “What else can I take off your plate?” If you are looking for a position where you simply clock in and clock out, this is not the role for you. If, however, you are energized by responsibility, inspired by purpose, and eager to become an indispensable partner in building something meaningful, keep reading. $18/hr-$21/hr Freddy’s Pizza isn’t just where you work—it’s how pizza is supposed to be made. Born from Whitestone in 1961, Freddy’s is where old-school New York nostalgia meets intentional craftsmanship. We’re not interested in shortcuts, speed over quality, or “good enough.” We’re here to do it right—even when it takes longer. Because at Freddy’s, nothing is rushed—and nothing is accidental. Our dough takes seven days to develop, built slowly with care instead of shortcuts. We run a daily poolish and maintain our own aged starter, because depth of flavor doesn’t happen overnight. We use unbleached, unbromated flours, including imported Italian blends chosen for quality and how they feel to eat. Everything you taste here is made in-house—from our sauces to our soft serve—because if it matters to the experience, we make it ourselves. Every step has intention behind it, from the first stretch of dough to the last bite. This is pizza that feels familiar… but better. “A week in the making, gone in one bite.” “Not all pizza is created equal—and you can taste it.” What You’ll Do You’re not just working a counter—you’re helping create the Freddy’s experience. You’ll be hands-on making pizzas, building orders, and bringing a sense of warmth and consistency to every guest interaction. This is a fast-paced, team-driven environment where care matters just as much as speed. You’ll learn the rhythm, take pride in what you put out, and help deliver an experience that feels personal—not transactional. Your Day-to-Day Build pizzas, calzones, and menu items on the makeline Package orders accurately and efficiently Keep food safety and quality standards locked in Maintain a clean, organized, ready-to-serve workspace Deliver friendly, fast, and accurate service every shift Work closely with a small, tight-knit team that moves together Help create a guest experience that feels warm, nostalgic, and intentional What We’re Looking For We can teach you the food. We can’t teach you pride. We’re looking for people who: Genuinely enjoy working with people Show up consistently and take reliability seriously Follow systems and want to learn them well Thrive in a fast-paced, hands-on environment Care about doing things right, not just doing them fast Experience is a plus—but attitude and consistency matter more. Why Freddy’s This is a place where details matter and shortcuts don’t exist. You’ll be part of a team that values craft, consistency, and care. The food is rooted in tradition, but the approach is intentional—cleaner ingredients, deeper flavor, and more respect for the process at every step. If you want something easy and invisible, this isn’t it. If you want to build something real and take pride in the work behind it, you’ll fit right in.
