Job DescriptionDescription: POSITION SUMMARY RECAP’s New Life Manor Residential Reintegration Program is a community residence providing services to individuals in recovery from substance use disorder. The Clinical Supervisor is a versatile, self-motivated, and results-oriented professional who provides clinical leadership and supports the effective operation of the program’s clinical services under the supervision and oversight of the Program Director. The Clinical Supervisor is responsible for providing clinical supervision and operational oversight to assigned staff while ensuring adherence to RECAP’s mission, vision, and values, as well as applicable policies, procedures, regulatory requirements, and standards of care. The Clinical Supervisor assists with monitoring service quality, clinical documentation, and compliance while working collaboratively with the Program Director and interdisciplinary team to achieve organizational and programmatic goals and desired service outcomes. In addition to supervisory and administrative responsibilities, the Clinical Supervisor maintains an assigned caseload and provides direct clinical services, including assessment, treatment planning, individual and/or group counseling, care coordination, and discharge planning, as appropriate. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Clinical Supervision and Leadership • Provides clinical supervision to the clinical treatment team and other assigned support staff., • Participates in leading clinical team meetings to ensure clinical service goals are met and program and organizational developments are communicated, understood, and implemented., • Provides guidance, support, and feedback to clinical staff regarding service delivery and clinical practices., • Supports the onboarding curriculum and training of new staff., • Maintains professional licensure and/or certification as required to serve as a Qualified Health Professional. Caseload and Service Management • Ensures weekly review and management of caseloads and staff productivity., • Monitors compliance with treatment services and established clinical requirements., • Shares responsibility for closely monitoring the referral list, including the timely scheduling and assignment of new cases., • Ensures clients have timely access to appropriate services provided by RECAP providers., • Assists with completing New Life Manor Screening Assessments, intakes, and outcome measures., • Maintains an assigned caseload and provides direct clinical services, including assessments, treatment planning, individual and/or group counseling, care coordination, and discharge planning, as appropriate. Clinical Documentation and Quality Improvement • Participates in quality improvement activities and works closely with the Program Director to ensure clinically sound and compliant documentation., • Reviews, rejects, and approves clinical documentation for assigned clinical staff and provides timely feedback., • Reviews assessments and staff diagnoses and provides appropriate recommendations regarding treatment services in collaboration with the Program Director., • Monitors treatment plan service delivery and compliance., • Ensures clinical documentation meets internal divisional requirements and applicable external payer requirements., • Participates in agency quality assurance activities, including performance and outcomes reviews, case record reviews, stakeholder satisfaction reviews, incident reviews, and improvement planning. Collaboration and Communication • Establishes and maintains professional relationships with residents, caseworkers, probation officers, family members, staff, and other relevant stakeholders., • Works collaboratively with the Program Director and interdisciplinary team to support effective service delivery and achieve program goals., • Communicates programmatic and clinical information effectively to appropriate staff and leadership., • Attends department and agency meetings., • Attends trainings related to the responsibilities and requirements of the position. Program and Compliance Responsibilities • Contributes to RECAP’s New Life Manor mission, vision, and program philosophies through professional conduct and quality work product with both internal and external consumers., • Adheres to all applicable federal and state laws, regulations, New Life Manor policies and procedures, and professional standards., • Safeguards confidential protected health information and complies with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA)., • Supports compliance with applicable OASAS requirements and other regulatory and payer standards., • Demonstrates awareness, appreciation, and respect for diverse cultures and individual differences among residents and fellow employees., • Identifies culturally relevant issues and communicates in a manner appropriate to the individuals and communities served., • Completes other duties as assigned. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES • Strong clinical skills and knowledge of treatment issues related to substance use disorder., • General knowledge and understanding of clinical administration within a behavioral health care environment., • Ability to support RECAP’s culture, growth, and success through effective communication, accountability, professionalism, and positivity., • Ability to remain clear-headed, organized, and decisive within the scope of the position., • Ability to work efficiently and effectively both independently and as part of a team., • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills., • Effective oral and written communication skills., • Strong organizational and time-management abilities., • Competency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Internet applications, and other software applications., • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary professional team., • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment and discretion. COMPLIANCE RESPONSIBILITIES The Clinical Supervisor is expected to: • Comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations., • Follow RECAP and New Life Manor policies, procedures, and established standards of practice., • Maintain required professional credentials, licenses, and certifications., • Protect confidential employee, resident, and organizational information., • Comply with HIPAA and other applicable confidentiality requirements., • Complete required training and maintain competency related to the position., • Participate in quality assurance, quality improvement, incident review, and compliance activities as assigned., • Maintain accurate and timely clinical and administrative documentation. Requirements: REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS • CASAC Advanced and/or Qualified Health Professional (QHP) credential recognized by the New York State Office of Addiction Services and Supports (OASAS) and/or licensed by the New York State Department of Education, as applicable., • Three (3) years of clinical experience in substance use disorder treatment preferred., • Strong clinical knowledge and understanding of substance use disorder treatment and related clinical issues., • General knowledge and understanding of clinical administration within a behavioral health care environment., • Ability to maintain professional licensure and/or certification required for the position., • Effective oral and written communication skills., • Strong organizational, time-management, and problem-solving skills., • Ability to work effectively and efficiently both independently and as part of a professional team., • Ability to demonstrate sound judgment, accountability, and professionalism., • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Internet applications, and other relevant software systems. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS • Work may require the ability to:, • Sit, stand, and walk for extended periods throughout the workday., • Use computers, telephones, printers, copy machines, and other office or clinical equipment., • Travel between program-related locations or community settings as required., • Drive a motor vehicle when required by the position., • Work in environments where exposure to inclement weather, traffic, or other community conditions may occur., • Maintain consistent punctuality and attendance at the assigned worksite.
