This position promotes community involvement, social connection, and resident well-being while creating a welcoming and active living environment. The ideal candidate is creative, organized, energetic, and passionate about working with older adults. Key ResponsibilitiesProgram Planning & Implementation • Develop, schedule, and lead daily, weekly, and monthly activities designed to support residents' physical, emotional, social, and cognitive well-being., • Coordinate programs including exercise classes, arts and crafts, educational workshops, movie nights, games, social gatherings, and holiday celebrations., • Maintain and distribute an up-to-date activities calendar for residents and staff.Resident Engagement, • Encourage participation through personal outreach and community announcements., • Adapt activities to accommodate varying mobility levels, cognitive abilities, and individual interests., • Build positive relationships with residents to better understand their preferences and needs.Event Coordination, • Organize special events, guest speakers, entertainment programs, and volunteer-led activities., • Coordinate transportation arrangements for off-site outings when applicable., • Manage event logistics, including setup, supplies, scheduling, and cleanup.Administrative Responsibilities, • Track attendance, participation trends, and resident feedback., • Maintain activity budgets and ensure adequate supplies are available., • Document activity-related funds and expenses accurately., • Ensure compliance with community policies and safety guidelines.Community Partnerships, • Build relationships with local organizations, libraries, senior centers, schools, and nonprofit groups., • Recruit and coordinate volunteers and outside activity facilitators.QualificationsRequired, • High school diploma or equivalent., • Experience working with seniors in residential, recreational, healthcare, or social service environments., • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills., • Creativity, patience, and enthusiasm for working with older adults., • Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office and email., • Ability to lift and carry activity supplies and assist with event setup.Preferred, • Education in Recreation Therapy, Gerontology, Social Services, or a related field., • Activities or Recreation certification (ACA, CTRS, or similar)., • First Aid and CPR certification., • Experience coordinating group activities or events.Benefits, • Medical Insurance, • Dental Insurance, • Vision InsuranceApply Today!
