Major Fleet Salesperson - Kearny Mesa Ford/Kia Non-Exempt - Hourly wage plus incentive compensation plan Job Summary: The Major Fleet Salesperson is responsible for driving sales of vehicles to businesses, government entities, and other large organizations with fleet purchasing needs. This role involves identifying and developing relationships with corporate clients, managing fleet accounts, and providing customized solutions to meet their transportation needs. The ideal candidate will have strong sales, negotiation, and communication skills, along with a deep understanding of fleet vehicle options and financing. Essential Functions: • Develop and maintain relationships with fleet customers, including businesses, government agencies, and large organizations., • Identify and target potential clients who need to purchase multiple vehicles., • Present and sell the dealership's vehicle inventory, including negotiating pricing, terms, and delivery schedules., • Assist clients in selecting the right vehicles based on their fleet needs, budget, and preferences., • Provide expert knowledge on the dealership's vehicle lineup, including specifications, features, and options suitable for fleet customers., • Conduct test drives, show vehicles at the client's location, or on the dealership lot, to help clients make informed decisions about the vehicles they wish to purchase or lease., • Stay up to date on industry trends, competitor offerings, and new vehicle models., • Recommend customizations or package options that meet the unique needs of the fleet buyer., • Prepare and present detailed fleet vehicle quotes, including bulk pricing, financing options, and trade-in appraisals., • Negotiate pricing and terms with large-scale clients, ensuring both the dealership's profitability and customer satisfaction., • Handle the paperwork and formalities related to fleet sales, including contracts, financing, and leasing options., • Coordinate with the dealership’s sales, service, and finance departments to ensure smooth and timely delivery of fleet orders., • Follow up with clients to ensure the satisfaction of their fleet purchase and address any post-sale concerns., • Provide ongoing support to fleet customers, including maintenance programs, warranty services, and fleet management solutions., • Maintain a long-term relationship with clients, ensuring they return to the dealership for future fleet purchases., • Offer advice on fleet management, including vehicle replacement cycles, inventory management, and budgeting., • Maintain accurate records of all fleet sales, customer interactions, and follow-up activities in the dealership's CRM system., • Meet or exceed monthly and annual sales targets set by the dealership management., • Provide regular sales reports and updates to the management team., • Maintain satisfactory attendance. Minimum Qualifications: • Five years of experience in automotive sales, with a focus on fleet or major account management., • Valid driver’s license and safe driving record; required to have California driver's license within 30 days following date of hire., • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds., • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field., • Strong leadership and people management abilities., • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills., • Proficiency in dealership management software and CRM systems., • In-depth knowledge of fleet sales processes and automotive industry trends., • Frequently stands, walks, sits; uses hands; frequently reaches with hands and arms; frequently talks and hears., • Occasionally climbs or balances; occasionally stoops, kneels, crouches, squats or crawls; occasionally lifts up to 20 pounds., • Prolonged periods of standing and walking throughout retail space, • Office setting in dealership., • Work both indoors and outdoors., • Exposure to inclement weather., • Work may be conducted offsite at client’s place of business., • Noise level is moderate.
