Job Description About the Role: As a Radiology Technician, you will play a critical role in the healthcare team by performing diagnostic imaging examinations that assist physicians in diagnosing and treating medical conditions. Your expertise in operating radiologic equipment will ensure high-quality images are produced while maintaining patient safety and comfort. You will be responsible for preparing patients for procedures, explaining the process, and positioning them correctly to capture accurate images. Additionally, you will collaborate closely with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to review images and ensure proper documentation. Your work directly contributes to effective patient care and the overall success of the medical facility. Minimum Qualifications: • Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program., • Certification or licensure as a Radiologic Technologist as required by the state or country of practice., • Basic life support (BLS) certification., • Strong understanding of radiologic safety and radiation protection principles., • Experience with advanced imaging modalities such as CT or MRI., • Additional certifications such as ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) specialty certifications., • Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems and digital imaging software., • Experience working in a hospital or clinical setting., • Operate and maintain radiologic equipment to perform diagnostic imaging procedures such as X-rays, CT scans, and fluoroscopy., • Prepare patients for imaging procedures by explaining the process, answering questions, and ensuring their comfort and safety., • Position patients accurately to obtain the best possible images while minimizing exposure to radiation., • Review images for quality and clarity, and assist radiologists by providing necessary technical information., • Maintain patient records and imaging logs in compliance with healthcare regulations and privacy standards., • Adhere to safety protocols to protect patients, staff, and self from unnecessary radiation exposure. The required skills enable the Radiology Technician to operate complex imaging equipment safely and effectively, ensuring high-quality diagnostic images. Communication skills are essential for explaining procedures to patients and collaborating with medical staff to optimize patient care. Attention to detail is critical when positioning patients and reviewing images to avoid retakes and ensure diagnostic accuracy. Preferred skills such as familiarity with advanced imaging modalities and digital systems enhance the technician's ability to support a wider range of diagnostic needs and improve workflow efficiency. Together, these skills ensure the technician can provide excellent patient care while maintaining compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
