Job DescriptionDepartment: RetailReports to: Floor Manager, ReBIRDLocation: 580 Broadway, NYC Your Opportunity at ARC’TERYX:As a repair operator, your main duty is to repair and extend the life of garments to help us in our mission to reduce waste. From opening and removing damaged parts, to sewing, laminating and basting various fabrics & materials together, you will be key to recovering the garment’s functionality according to Arc’teryx standards. You will become an expert in Arc'teryx products, materials and repair procedures and share your expertise with your team members. You will participate in continual learning and development as Arc'teryx expands our retail repair service offering. Meet Your Future Team:Our new Alpha locations will showcase the largest Retail expression of ReBIRD in North America. The team will offer a range of services inclusive of product care education, product wash service, in-store technical repair, warranty assessment with a goal to build a relationship with a Guest and support their post-purchase needs. This location will also offer a refined offering for ReGEAR (resale) and ReCUT (upcycled product) adjacent to the ReBIRD Service area. You will manage all aspects of ReBIRD within the store ensuring an optimal Guest experience tied to our sustainability commitments. Job DescriptionSUMMARY Duties of the packer position include operating the packer to fill bags of product, operating the sewing machines to seal bags, operating and adjusting bag top formers, operating palletizers, operating ink jet printers and Label Machines. The position of packer is responsible for weights of bags, sealing of bags, coding of bags, correct labeling of product, checking to be sure the correct bags are being packed, volume of output and keeping work area neat and clean. Packers may be assigned other duties as needed by the supervisor. REASONING ABILITY • Ability to define and solve problems collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables at any given time., • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out training instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
