Job Description Key Responsibilities Recycling, Redemption & Recoverable Assets β’ Coordinate redemption pickups, drop-offs, recycling movement, and related activity with internal teams and external partners., β’ Manage recycling vendors, pallet recovery outlets, cooperage returns, and disposal channels for cardboard, aluminum, shrink wrap, damaged pallets, and similar materials., β’ Ensure pallet sorting, bale staging, cooperage handling, and outbound recycling preparation are completed according to SOPs and operational standards., β’ Maintain control of pallet and cooperage inventory and ensure accurate counts, recovery tracking, documentation, and billing support., β’ Drive loss prevention and accountability around pallets, cooperage, recyclable materials, and other recoverable warehouse assets. Facility Maintenance Leadership β’ Serve as the day-to-day lead for facility maintenance follow-up, housekeeping execution, repair coordination, and facility-readiness standards., β’ Identify, document, prioritize, and follow up on facility issues including doors, docks, lighting, floors, drains, offices, bathrooms, break areas, exterior areas, compactors, recycling equipment, and general building conditions., β’ Coordinate with internal maintenance resources, warehouse leadership, outside vendors, contractors, and service providers to ensure repairs and facility needs are addressed timely., β’ Track open facility issues through approved systems, logs, or work-order processes and provide regular follow-up to warehouse leadership., β’ Support preventive maintenance planning for facility-related assets, including dock equipment, recycling equipment, building fixtures, compactors, sweepers/scrubbers, and related support equipment., β’ Ensure facility issues that create safety, product integrity, operational disruption, or security risks are escalated promptly. Housekeeping, Safety & Facility Standards β’ Maintain strong housekeeping, spill-control, hazard-control, and organized staging standards throughout recycling, dock, warehouse, office, exterior, and support areas., β’ Lead routine facility walks to identify cleanliness issues, damaged equipment, unsafe conditions, blocked areas, poor staging, pest-risk areas, and other facility concerns., β’ Ensure recycling and facility-support areas remain clean, safe, labeled, accessible, and inspection-ready., β’ Support timely follow-up on incident reporting, workers' compensation documentation, insurance coordination, and related operational follow-up where assigned., β’ Ensure equipment defects, unsafe conditions, facility damage, and operational hazards are identified, documented, and escalated promptly. People Leadership β’ Lead recycling and facility-support employees and establish clear expectations regarding safety, urgency, organization, cleanliness, and operational execution., β’ Assign daily priorities based on workload, facility condition, operational needs, vendor schedules, and business demands., β’ Conduct evaluations, provide coaching, document performance concerns, and hold employees accountable for execution standards., β’ Coordinate operational follow-up with warehouse leadership, vendors, support departments, and employees as needed. Vendor, Budget & Administrative Support β’ Support planning and tracking of recycling, facility services, housekeeping, supplies, repairs, and related operational expenses., β’ Coordinate vendor access, service timing, documentation, and follow-up for assigned facility and recycling activities., β’ Review vendor work for completion, accuracy, and operational impact., β’ Support invoice review, billing reconciliation, recovery tracking, and documentation for recycling, pallets, cooperage, facility services, and related transactions., β’ Maintain organized records for service activity, asset recovery, repairs, inspections, supplies, and facility follow-up. Preferred Qualifications β’ 3+ years of warehouse, recycling, facility services, maintenance coordination, asset-control, or operational leadership experience preferred., β’ Strong organizational, vendor-management, analytical, and operational follow-up skills., β’ Strong floor presence with the ability to identify facility problems after they become larger operational issues., β’ Strong Excel skills and comfort with VIP, EasyOps, work-order systems, or related operational platforms., β’ Ability to work independently while coordinating across multiple departments and external vendors., β’ Experience managing budgets, billing, recoverable assets, housekeeping programs, facility repairs, or vendor service programs preferred.
