Monitor systems to identify performance concerns before equipment failure; maintain accurate service logs and equipment histories and complete work orders through the School's CMMS. Maintain mechanical rooms and work areas in a safe and orderly condition; follow applicable codes, safety requirements, and refrigerant handling procedures. The in-school survey administrator teams are responsible for administering school-based surveys and/or assessments to students in a classroom setting and following up with schools for survey make-up dates administered by school staff. The National Youth Risk Behavior Study (YRBS) is a biennial, school-based survey that monitors health-risk behaviors among U.S. high school students to inform public health policies and interventions. The YRBS is a critical resource for understanding adolescent health behaviors, guiding interventions, and shaping policies to improve youth well-being across the United States. RTI International is a non-profit research organization contracted to collect data. We are working with approximately 300 schools across the country. This is a temporary part-time position that will offer an average of 20 hours per week once hired through the duration of the data collection period of June 2027. Programming & Facilitation • Organize and lead structured games, sports, and active play opportunities during recess periods., • Recess Style games: switch, four corners, fireball, wizardball, soccer, basketball, etc, • Work effectively with your co-coach(es) on a daily basis to run recess periods of 20-25 minutes for groups of 40-80 children in collaboration with school aides who are present during recess periods, • You should expect to see 4-6 recess groups per day broken down into age levels, • Encourage participation in structured game play areas with different game stations available, promoting physical activity for all students., • Coaches must be able to set up and lead games in various stations., • Adapt games and sports to meet varying age groups and skill levels, plus in different spaces and weather conditions., • Coaches will be expected to be outside for recess during the fall and winter, even with cold weather. Kids in the Game provides recess jackets for those seasons, • Schools will make a call for when recess goes from outside to inside due to weather, • Coaches must be able to adapt to indoor recess schedules quickly and effectively. Job DescriptionDescription: Battery Park Montessori is hiring a Preschool Montessori Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year beginning August 1, 2026. Battery Park Montessori is a trilingual Montessori program with Spanish, Mandarin and English speaking teachers. ABOUT YOU • You are knowledgeable about the Montessori curriculum and philosophy and are able to successfully employ highly effective teaching practices, • You love to create welcoming and stimulating learning environments for infants and toddlers, • You are experienced in creating works – that are in line with the philosophy – intended to specifically teach language., • You enjoy collaborating with fellow teachers to co-create curriculum, • You are dedicated to internationalism and anti-bias teaching practices and maintain a positive school culture for everyone in the community, • You have exceptional communication skills with children, teachers and parents and a nurturing, supportive approach, • You are trustworthy flexible, and dependable ROLE OF THE MONTESSORI PRESCHOOL TEACHER • Create welcoming, functional, safe, attractive, de-cluttered, stimulating and physically comfortable learning environments, • Assist children during bathroom or hygiene-related activities, • Work with the team to establish classroom procedures and protocols and shared responsibilities across the school (i.e. laundry duty, pantry clean-up, library organization, etc.), • Conduct parent information sessions, parent education events, and attend parent social events that build community – most of which take place in the evenings, • Maintain observation records of student assessment over the year, • Communicate with parents, both formally and informally, • Participate collaboratively in curriculum development, program planning, school evaluation processes, and other faculty meetings as required by the school administration, • Participate in in-service educational activities provided by the school and/or self-elected professional growth activities.
